Good location and friendly staff but the rooms seem tired and old. The room was clean but the curtains in 801 have a hole in them. If you need to be close to the convention center, it's a safe bet. If you're looking for luxury, go elsewhere.

PROS ... Location and great staff. CONS...the room was dirty; rugs were gross; the pillows had stains, were old; the mattresses wre horrible. Over all the room was just dirty. Hotel needs to update & clean!!! We were scheduled to stay 2 nights, but left early.

My mom and I stayed in the Austin Hotel for a pageant! Two nights and 1 day. The staff was amazing and helpful and seemed to always remember who we were. Our room was clean and quite spacious. We had an awesome time with the Austin Hotel being located right off Cleaveland Street (downtown, near the bath houses).

A surprisingly "tired" hotel for a convention center in a resort town. Room was clean but looked like a small town motel from the 1970's.

We had an amazing time here, and the staff was really nice and friendly. The beds were very comfortable, and the pillows were awesome! Loved the view.
