First of all, it is advertised as a bed and breakfast..and they offer no breakfast!! It needs to be renewed, my closet in room 15 was broken, very little space to place things in the room, some windows can not be opened..... a bit dissapointed all together.

We went in May 2011 for Jazz Fest. The price was reasonable and it's right in the French Quarter. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. Things to keep in mind though, when it gets VERY hot, the a/c may not be as cool as some people like it. It was fine to me since I don't like too... More

The Cornstalk is a beautiful hotel, ideally placed for investigating the French Quarter. Louis, the manager, is helpful beyond compare and ensured we were able to see and experience everything we'd hoped, making arrangements with and recommending tour providers. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and on a sunny day its a beautiful place to sit outside and watch... More

It was a great hotel, located in the heart of the French Quarter within walking distance to all great shops, restaurants and the famous bourbon street. Each room is unique- beautifully decorated with antique furniture and accents. The whole house was an experience. We loved its airy hallways with their ornate double bedroom doors and fancy doorknobs. The furniture and... More

We stumbled into the Cornstalk after a bad bad night at another nearby guest house. The Manager, Louis< was totally accomodating and we got a super room near the middle of the first floor. Granted the bath is small but the whole place is very clean and well kept. If you're into french antiques, cherubs swinging from your chandeliers and... More

Have walked by this place many times and decided to stay my next time in N.O. i go 2-3 times a year.I will say the rooms look huge on the internet much smaller in real life but still nice.Place is old so do not expect things you would find in other hotels.Very small T.V. set i mean "very small" no... The Cornstalk is lovely inside and out. The rooms are exquisite. Louis, the owner/manager/concierge/really nice guy was super helpful and accommodating. He got us just the right room, and it was reasonably priced. He has even compiled a list of restaurants and tours for the guests' convenience, which served us well. All we had to do was tell him what... More

We stayed at the Cornstalk Hotel in January 2010 for the Super Bowl weekend when the Saints won the Super Bowl. We went with several other couples. The hotel is in a good location in the French Quarter but I probably would not stay there again. It is a beautiful place but not the most spacious. The beds were uncomfortable... More

Wow, step back in history from the wrought iron "cornstalk" fencing to the beautiful bedrooms. Furnishings are all antique as entire decor. So convenient to everything in French Quarter. Second time staying here and love it each time.
