This gorgeous place is certainly a retreat right in the city of New Orleans... it is amazing to have the calm to retire to right around the corner from the hopping Bourbon Street and the rest of the French Quarter. Your day will be complete. The hospitality of the staff is unparalleld. For the cost, you will get way more... More

Staying at the Rathbone Mansion was a pleasant experience. We stayed in the mansion across the street from the main house where the office is located. We are in fairly good physical condition so didn't mind staying on the third floor, as there is no elevator. Our friends w/ us preferred to stay on a lower level and the owners... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights and felt right at home, only a couple of blocks from the French Quarter we walked there every evening and stumbled back everynight, The hostess made the best Choclate chip pancakes i have had.

You can't get airport transfers to this property so you are forced to pay $33 for a cab. When we arrived it felt like the owner had someplace to be and was just waiting on us. We than had to carry all our luggage up 26 stairs. We wanted to see a major concert in town, yet owner could give... More

Super B&B just outside the French Quarter. Close to the action when you want to have some fun but also far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet after fun on Bourbon Street. Rooms are a good size, beds comfortable and the hot tub in back is great. If you are looking for a change from a hotel, at... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights-- and we loved every minute! The mansion is so quaint and charming. It's old, so things creak and slant, but I find that part of the charm. Our room was a nice size (bigger than the room we stayed in at the Omni a few years ago) and had everything we... More

Thank You for the lovely review, I like the explanation you used "the chaos of Bourbon Strret" as with any property we may not be for everyone, but if your looking for all the other things you talked about then we are right for you. You were great guests and I hope you can return someday, Thanks again, Cheers, Pat More

Don't be fooled by the pictures , you get what you pay for! This is not in a very safe part of town and while it is close to the French Quarter, what they don't tell you is you are going to have to walk atleast 12 to 15 blocks to get to the popular part of the French Quarter.... More

Well I am sorry you did not enjoy it here, not sure why you don't think this is a safe neighborhood, I have never had any problems here, but you are entitled to your opinion. About us telling you how far a walk it is, had you asked we would have said, it is 2 blocks to the French Quarter... More

For our mother-daughter trip to New Orleans we wanted a cozy B&B within walking distance of the French Quarter without paying French Quarter prices. We were not disappointed. The Victorian ambiance of the two historic mansions with their dark green, red and purple walls and draperies, and the whimsical artwork by one of the owners was really charming, (and we... More
