Have just returned from a whirlwind trip throughout the states. We arrived in New Orleans after driving non-stop from Largo Florida to be greeted by Halbert who was efficiency personified. Although only there for 2 days, he was always at the desk (does he ever sleep!) and his warmth and genuine care added greatly to our stay.

Love this place. The construction is a pain, but should be wrapped by summer. The staff was so over the top nice and helpful it made up for any jack hammers. Especially ask for Halbert and Daniel. The two guys were super cool and couldn't be more helpful. Southern hospitality at its finest. Ya'll.

My husband and I stayed in W french quarter in Easter Time in the wonderful room which has a nice private patio with hot tub. The hotel at that time was under renovation, so the breackfast room and restaurant were closed but this didn't affect at all our staying which was amazing. The hotel is a gem, a boutique hotel...

We stayed at this W for a convention but also wanted to be in the quarter so this hotel was convenient. Construction did not bother us at all - we didn't hear any noise unless we were outside or next to the window & it didn't start until about 9am anyway. I think they get room service from a nearby...

The staff is friendly and helpful, but the noise from construction is intolerable. Also, it appears as though maintenance of existing rooms has fallen by the wayside until constuction is completed--both the sink and showerhead in bathroom were broken when we checked in. They should either close the hotel during consutruction, or offer discounted rates.

At check-in, the staff assured us that the construction would not affect our stay. But oh, by the way, there's no restaurant or bar here. "Uhhh, well it's still our vacation. Let's just go with it honey."

I have only great things to say about the W. Clean, spacious suites, excellent service, room service was delicious AND prompt. Comfortable bed...so comfortable that we did not want to get out of bed.
