This hotel has some good points: great location, friendly staff, fast elevators, good TV, fast internet, good AC. However, the rooms are just too small. Our first room was ridiculous. The second room reeked of cigarette smoke. Our third room was better, but still small. The exercise bike was broken, the computer in the office did not allow log in... More

I made a reservation online for four rooms, 3 nights each. Once confirmed, I needed to make a change, so I called them. And got voicemail. During the middle of the business day. So I left a message. I also sent an email asking them to call me back. Nothing. Next day, same deal. Voice mail, email, no response. I... More

We stayed during the Jazz Fest so the room were high anyway. However, for the size and amenities of the room, it was way over prices. Besides one small desk chair and the bed, there was no place to sit. The bathroom was very small with little counter space. We were on the 5th floor and the street noise was... More

First of all, that "resort fee" seems like such a scam, I don't get it, I thought it was abusive. And it was also abusive how the price went so high over the days, which made us stay there for only two nights instead of three. But besides that, staff was really nice and, even though we had a room... More

Just below average three star in a good location. Not even a pool to justify a "resort fee". And the toilet paper is s**++y. Staff is ok and friendly, but sometimes shorthanded. While there is really no restaurant, it is close to some good ones.

We booked this hotel in August 2011 for the Final Four in March 2012. The price had been inflated, but all New Orleans hotels did the same. It was in a good location near the French Quarter, casino, and Superdome. It is in need of some decorating help. We were on the 2 nd floor, street side, and it was... More

The hotel is only decent, although the location adjacent to the French Quarter and on a trolley line is convenient. The rooms are small and nothing special. Beware that they charge a mandatory "value added package" of $8.95 per night for things that should be complimentary (long distance, wi-fi, and access to the business center (a super-slow computer) and fitness... This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time was in 2004. Since then, the hotel has been renovated. I love that the trolley stop is right outside the door if you want to head to the Garden District area. There is another trolley stop right around the corner for heading to the cemetery district.... My husband and I stayed at the Royal St. Charles on Friday, March 30 before the Final Four. We arrived around 6 p.m. and had no problems whatsoever getting the valet service and check-in taken care of. Hotels in the Quarter were limited because of the Final Four, but we were able to book this one and an attractive rate.... More

We had made reservations weeks ago to stay at the Royal St. Charles Hotel. The room rate we were quoted was the same at check in; howver, instead of the $29.00 valet parking fee, we were charged $40.00 because there was a "final four" going on and there was the extra charge for an event fee. I was not happy... More
