I always enjoy my stay here. Close enough to festivities, but far enough away to rest. Great room service, and staff, access to the warehouse district and restaurants.

Like most previous reviewers, I stayed here because I was in town for a convention. I thought if I was spending $180/night it would have more amenities. The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are small. They have a pool, but it is tiny. They charge $15/day for internet! Really?! Even cheaper hotels that are just as nice offer free...

this hotel was far to expensive per night not to have free in room wifi. If you wanted wifi access you have to go the starbucks or the lobby or business center.
The food was very expensive in the bar or in the restraurant. the house keeping was questionable. They forgot to resupply the washclothes 2 times.

I chose to stay here b/c it's across the street from the convention center. However, the convention center is a good half mile long, and spans several blocks. So if your conference is on the other end of the center, then the "proximity" of this hotel is not really worth the trade-offs you'll make to stay in this hotel.

We were supposed to stay for three nights but decided to leave after one. The value for your money is not here and I am not sure what J.W. Marriott expects you to pay for. The problems with this hotel or chain are more on the corporate level than local and for the local employees of this hotel I am...

I stayed for 2 nights while attending a conference in the New Orleans Riverside area. The staff are exceptional and above average based on my stays at U.S. hotels. For the price, the facilities are very nice. The onsite restaurant, Wolf's, is a plus (although a bit pricey for my typical preference), but that is typical for the convenience of...

Stayed at this Marriott for two nights during the CTIA convention. The hotel is literally across the street from the Convention Center so the location was ideal for me. It's an older Marriott but seems to have been renovated relatively recently. Rooms are comfortable with flat-screen TVs, comfortable beds and average bathrooms. The staff was friendly and helpful for the...

The location was fabulous & was opposite the cruise terminal.
The rooms were beautiful, we had two large beds which were very comfortable.
The staff were very helpful & friendly.
There are some lovely bars & restaurants within walking...

Pros: Typical Marriott with same amenities. Right across the street from convention center so location is GREAT for conference. Had great service from bellhop, concierge, and housekeeping! Front desk staff were ok. Very clean rooms. Onsite Starbucks (cheaper to buy here than from convention center). Restaurant was ok. There is a restaurant a block away, Musalete's, for good Louisiana cooking....

We stayed at this Marriott in April of 2012. It had a great location if you are attending an event at the convention center or planning on gambling at Harrahs Casino. Unfortunately this wasn't on our agenda but we still enjoyed this hotel.
The hotel was very clean and and the upkeep was perfect. Rooms are very comfy, the pool...
