My new wife and I stayed with Kevin for the first 3 days of our honeymoon trip to NOLA. We found him here, on TripAdvisor. What everyone says is true; very nice rooms, very comfortable. Kevin had great advice on where to eat, what to see, and was quite helpful in general. We'd definitely stay with them again.

My girlfriend and I (20s couple) stayed at House of the Rising sun the week before Jazz fest (apr 19 - 23) and really had a lovely time. Kevin was a fantastic host -- most knowledgable about the great places to eat and see music -- he recommended Frenchmen St for music, and it pretty much ended up being where... More

Discovered this great little B&B in Algiers Point. Didn't realize how close it was to everything. Neighborhood had lots of charm, even a British pub! Hosts were terrific, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were out and about each day until bedtime, but could have enjoyed ourselves with their books and music library. Lots of helpful tips on how to do Jazz... More

I had a great stay at the House of the Rising Sun B&B - just a 5 minute ferry ride away from New Orleans. I was there for a conference. The B&B was very convenient, clean, comfortable, and the owners (Kevin and Wendy) were super nice and extremely hospitable. Breakfast was very good. Kevin shared some great tips for enjoying... More

Lovely home in a very pretty area over the river from the mid city by free ferry. Kevin knows his music and is an easy going host. Breakfast at eight was a little early for us though. Fairly easy to get to.

My husband and I stayed at the House of the Rising Sun for 7 nights and are so glad we did. The hospitality was fantastic! Kevin and Wendy are wonderful hosts and gave us some great advice of what to see, where to eat and which bands to see at French Quarter Fest. The B&B is located in a beautiful... More

GPS took us straight down Canal street to the Algiers ferry, which was a whole zero dollars to Algiers, one dollar back. The B&B was two blocks from the ferry landing, in a very historic neighborhood. I was very glad to park the car in front for the whole stay, ride the ferry back and forth to New Orleans to... More

My wife and I stayed at the House of the Rising Sun for four nights during the French Quarter Fest. We picked the right place. This is a small B&B, family style in all ways. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was excellent, just a quick ferry ride from the heart of NO, and steps away from... More

The Rising Sun is a most pleasant place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans who wants a base away from the city. The free ferry to NO is just 5 minutes walk from the house. Kevin is a great host, and Boudin a real character. Location and parking so easy - important after a... More

This was our second Mardi Gras in a row staying at Kevin and Wendy's B&B. We feel like it's our own little oasis on the Point. Love riding the ferry and hanging with our awesome hosts and their friends, who have become our friends too. The rooms are top notch and I hear the breakfasts are fresh, healthy and tasty... More
