I was here for a wedding. Originally everything started out fine, then on the second day it all went downhill. there was an issue with one of the other guests room and the HOTEL asked if i would switch since i had a double room and they only had a single, not a problem. I asked if my reservation would...

This was my 1st time at the Provincial, and it was a fine stay. I had a king bedroom in building 5 with access to the shared balcony overlooking Decatur St. The balcony is shared with only 3 other rooms, perfect if you are a gang staying at the same hotel, as was the case for us.
The balcony looks...

I stayed at the Provincial for the first time 20 years ago! Since then I have traveled to New Orleans 5 other times and tried several other hotels. For this trip, I returned to the Provincial and can say that it was an even better stay than 20 years ago. We can't say enough about the location and ambience. When...

We had a great stay, though we weren't in haunted building #5. :( The room was a great size and nicely furnished. Clearly an old building, but clean, comfy rooms and nice furnishings. The courtyards and pools were beautiful, and a welcome wind-down spot after a day's excursions. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to...

Of the two negative reviews, one involved a lack of TP and one traveller who paid 3 times the normal rate during a special event. Sorry, I am not sympathetic to these complaints. I went ahead and booked a room...

This hotel was in a perfect location for French Quarter strolling. Our room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. Very cute courtyard and pools and excellent hurricanes in their bar. The doorman stored our bags and had a taxi waiting for us when we were ready to leave. Great service and affordable.
Rooms are small, fairly clean and in dire need of a redo. Staff was fine but not really helpful. The exception were the. Ery nice housekeeping staff and David, a great bellman. The location is excellent, three blocks from the French Market.
Stayed 5 days and can't wait to go back. Great location for everything in the French Qtr.
We have stayed at the Provincial several times over the past 35 years. It's always the same, lovely and charming and typical of the historical buildings in the French Quarter. I like this section of the quarter, close to the French Market, the river, the red car tram, and quieter than the areas near Bourbon St. or Canal. We feel...
