5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 May 2013 NEW

Stayed at Hotel Provincial for 5 nights this May. The location cannot be beat. It is in a quiet section of the French Quarter but close to everything. We were on the second floor overlooking the pool. The room has period furniture that gives you a real New Orleans feel. The bathroom is not modern and the rooms are clean... More

We booked this hotel for JazzFest 2013. When we first arrived we were disappointed because our room did not look like the nice picture on the website. BUT...the hotel turned out to be perfect for us. Although the furniture in the room was old, everything worked perfectly. Plenty of space in the bathroom (with plenty of hot water), adequate space... More

This hotel is in a good location, away from the noisy and intoxicated Bourbon Street / Canal Street area but close to the French Markets and Frenchmen Street with its jazz clubs and quieter atmosphere. We stayed on the 2nd floor but not overlooking the courtyard. The room was a good size, clean, with very comfortable beds, air conditioning and... More

A friend had been raving about this hotel for several years and I was thinking it might be time to upgrade from the funky Richelieu down the street. We got one of the last rooms available during Jazzfest, which turned out to be a garret with views of the river on one side and the Marigny on the other. There... More

Spent 3 nights at this hotel in April together with another English couple who have visited New Orleans several times before. We all agreed the location was perfect - near all the action but not so noisy as to affect sleep. The hotel has real personality with attractive courtyards to sit in and plan your activities or recover with a... More

This hotel is the perfect French Quarter location. Our room had a balcony facing the French Market. When we tired of walking we sat and had a beer there and listened to a jazz band mearby. The hotel consists of 5 buildings around a protected parking area, a pool and courtyards. The staff is friendly and anxious to serve. Our... More

We stayed here in mid April. The location was great- not too noisy but very convenient. We had a junior suite- which just means a bit of a sitting area/larger room. The bathroom was small and old but adequate. There was a pretty good continental breakfast but no coffee /tea set out through the day and no hot water maker... More

A friend and I just spent 4 nights here on a mini vacation. It happened to coincide with jazzfest, which really drove up the price of the room. Our room was in building 5, which actually overlooked Decatur St and quite close to the Mississippi River in the French Quarter. The room had a little bit of a stale smell... More

The hotel is in a great location on Chartres Street, well-placed for everything without the need for a car. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bar serves excellent cocktails and the bar staff were entertaining and knowledgeable. Complementary breakfast was ok. The hotel is spread over a wide area behind it's facade with a number of buildings and a... More

Great location in the French Quarter for the price. Right next door to one of the best fine dining resturants in NOLA....Stella's. Lots more good eats places right around the corner on Decatur. Conventient to everything, including Frenchman's late night. My husband complained because there was no balcony, but the cost would have gone up tremendously. So, no balcony, but... More
