This is an older hotel in the French Quarter on Decatur and it has a charm to it but it is in need of upgrading which I believe they are in the process of doing. My room wasn't ready at 4pm so they switched me to accommodate me. I paid for a windowless room (see pic). Overall, the room was... More

I gave it a 4 stars as being very good because the service and location was great. You are only a block or two from Bourbon and the Steamboat was across the street but also where most tours pick up as well. We had a back room so we did not have to hear the boat, we viewed the garden... More

I LOVE old architecture. I LOVE New Orleans and have been there many times. My disappointment with this hotel is the fact that they don't care that it is filthy. Upon checking into my room I immediately went to the front desk and asked that the moldy shower curtin be changed. This, they did with a smile. Always friendly and... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend on vacation for exactly 7 nights and we formed a fairly solid opinion of the place and its pros and cons during our stay summarised below. What's Great: - The location is fantastic, 5 stars. This really is a top spot, only a short few blocks from famed night life hot spot Bourbon Street,... More

After reading some of the reviews I was somewhat apprehensive to stay at this hotel. I went ahead and booked a room for 3 nights. Upon arriving, Jenna at the front desk was exceptionally helpful in explaining the history of the hotel itself. All staff that we encountered was friendly. I did notice some things that could be fixed or... More

This was objectively the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. As I understand that generally, quality adjusts accordingly with price, I will describe only the ways that made my hotel experience terrible at any price. First, our room was not available at the specified check in time. In fact, it was not available two hours after check in time.... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was adorable, with the cutest little courtyard. The room we chose did not have a window, but that was not a big deal to us. It was worth it for the price. The rooms are very old, but that adds to the charm. The were very clean and that is what is... More

We stayed here May 10th for 6 nights. We love NO and just wanted to go down and spend some time there playing tourist. We took the train down and had been on it for almost 21 hours so we were ready to get started. We were greeted with a great hello and smile from Nancy at the front desk.... More

We loved the location and the affordability, and this Inn brought to mind many of our stays in Italy, and left it lacking. All the ownership needs to do to make a big impact is some fresh paint and 1" foam pads on the mattresses. I love unique, and we enjoyed being able to stop at the room during the... More

Stayed at the French Market Inn from July 26th to May 1st for the Jazz and Blues Festival. Some good points, the hotel is in an ideal locale, right in the heart of the French quarter, you can walk easily from place to place. Decatur street is busy until the wee hours of the morning, so if you are single,... More
