Although it's not easy to find (hence the name Puerto Escondido), Villa Romana is located on a beautiful spot with magnificent views. There are several beaches around to spend the day and relax. The staff at Villa Romana was very devoted to make us feel at home and meet our needs --for example, I'm a vegetarian and they went the... More

This was our fifth time in Panama in the last seven years. We stayed for three days. The first two days there was only one other couple and the third day we were the only ones at the hotel. Hans, the owner, was extremely helpful in booking a room for us in Chitre after a mix-up with our reservation and... More

I have been staying at Villa Romana for over one month now. From my very first day I have been treated like a family member by each and every staff member. The food is excellent with cook to order breakfast and gourmet dining at night. My room has been kept well maintained and spotless. The view from my room is... More

The stay was disappointing. In one of the two rooms we occupied, there was no running water in the 2 days we stayed and no service room in one the room. There was 1 available swimming pool, but it was not clean (lots of leaves the first day, lots of crabs the second). The breakfast was very poor (only bread... More

We had planned to stay only 2 nights, but ended up here for 4. The experience was just about perfect. Our villa opened to the ocean & we felt the breeze and heard the waves crashing on the shore every day. It was the ultimate in relaxation and convenience. If we hadn't wanted to explore the area, we could have... More

Stayed for 2 nights in March 2012 and was very impressed. Views are amazing and cottages are adorable. I went to this area because I am looking to purchase property near there and found Villa Romana online. I was traveling with my 26 year son and it's much more suited for a romantic getaway then a Mom and son destination.... More

Villa Romana was very relaxing. If you are looking for a place to get away and do absolutely nothing, then this is the place to stay. It was soothing to always hear the waves from the Pacific Ocean. The view of the ocean from the property is also very nice. In addition, my compliments to the chef and his staff.... More

We have been guests the meny times, and our stay was always very pleasant and comfortable, the food is excellent and the service impecable, we love the "little" swimming pool and enjoy our drinks at the big pool.
