We spent two nights at Wagner couple's wonderful hotel. We felt like members of a nice multicultural family. We had a Cozy and very clean room with gorgeous view and excellent breakfast. There are several nearby ski slopes and in 10-15 minutes driving distance as well. Highly recommended!

We came with our son, daughter in law and grandson (2 1/2) for 2 nights. It is a perfect spot for a family vacation. The hosts are helpful and speak English. They were very accommodating of our needs with a toddler. It snowed for a full day and we had a blast in the garden with our grandson playing in the son. The hotel is organic. The food ranges from good to excellent. We ate all our meals in the hotel and did not get bored with the food. Would definitely come again.

The hospitality of the Wagners was warm and welcoming. They do speak English, if required. We were made to feel at home right from the start: Herr Wagner collected us from the train station and also took us back there at the end of our stay. The Bellevue suite we had was spacious with views to die for. The organic food was delicious, the recipes imaginative and so good that we ate there every night, even though we hadn't booked half-board! There is a discount for having a 4-course menu which makes it very good value. Weather permitting, sitting outside to eat on the terrace balcony, taking in the breath taking views and mountain air is a delight. Do be aware that such views are only possible because the hotel is positioned up the mountain, whilst the train station is in the valley. You do need to ask for a lift if you have some luggage because there is no bus service. The area has lots of fabulous walks for people of various abilities: you don't need to be an expert hiker or rail enthusiast to appreciate this beautiful part of Austria. Vielen Dank und wiederschauen!…

A family-run guesthouse with wonderful views, clean, simple but comfortable rooms and great food. It doesn't appear to be listed on the usual booking sites but I had no problems booking directly. I can't think of a better place to stay in Semmering.

Josef and Regina are a delightful couple who take great pride in their establishment. Josef met us at the train station and took us back at the end of our stay, which was extremely nice. The gourmet dinners were just wonderful. We took advantage of the in-house sauna which felt great. It is a good walk to the ski slopes, but there is a good taxi service available. You can keep your rented skis at the same place where you rent them. The only downside is there is only wifi on the first floor, not in the bedrooms. I recommend Panorama Wagner highly, you will feel welcome and pampered.

This is a nice and clean guesthouse (not a hotel though) which focuses on organic food and "natural" materials. The rooms are rather pretty, especially compared to the dated and/or tacky look of many other Austrian guesthouses. The food, prepared by the owner himself, is really up to scratch. Dinner was an extravagant and filling four course affair, and the lovely breakfast buffet (which was, sadly, lacking in vegetables) complemented by eggs cooked to order. There is also an impressive selection of organic teas which you can help yourself to all day; coffee, however, seems to be a scarce good. The host is clearly very invested in making your stay worthwhile, making small talk and trying to accomodate your wishes and needs, though, truthfully, I did not appreciate the small lecture on the benefit of sheep wool when asking for an alternative to the wollen blanket and pillows of the bedding because I am sensitive to wool. In short, they couldn't provide one, but I was free to bring my own. Imagine having any other allergies or sensitivities to specific "natural" products. I guess this also boils down to the difference between a guesthouse and a hotel, with all their respective advantages and disadvantages. We tried to get a better table at breakfast, but were told by the hostess that there was no free seating because the long(er) term guests had their preferred seats (whereas we were staying for just one night). We were also reprimanded for such things as depositing tableware on a spare table while helping ourselves from the buffet. I'm not sure if that's a guesthouse thing, or due to us only being short term guests, or if it's just people's idiosyncrasies, but staying in such a place is apparently tricky unless you don't mind being treated like a schoolchild instead of as a paying customer.…

The hotel is completely run on an organic basis. The hotel is clean with excellent service and run by the owners, Josef and Regina Wagner. Whatever question you have they will always assist you with every request. Josef is an excellent cook (organic Austrian cuisine) and having dinner is always a pleasure and so it is breakfast with several types of bread, fresh eggs and yoghurt, etc. The hotel is quite small with familiar atmosphere. The rooms are very clean and equipped with modern wooden furniture, tea light/aromatic oils, books, water, fruits. The mattresses are fantastic for a quiet and good sleep. The hotel offers the best non-alcoholic beer of the world! We have been there several times and we are always looking forward to our next stay and the welcome drink. There is also a sauna and massage upon request available. Activities: Skiing in winter and you find marvellous hiking tours. We can highly recommend this hotel when looking for a few days of relax and silence.…

An amazing hotel family which resets the soul from city life. We had an amazing time from the moment we walked in with the friendly staff and quality facilities. We had a large room which had beautiful panoramic view. An amazing place to visit with a lot of character and a story behind everything.

Best view, great breakfast, run by family with complete commitment to bio on highest level. Fantastic fresh water, fruits and tea all day for refreshment. Sauna at the evening with access to garden and cool water. Very personal touch with no wish answered, really. Clean rooms with natural wooden floor and just natural furniture and bed accessories. No TV set in the room but one dedicated relax room with library and flat screen. Nice collecting of DVDs to watch and games for kids to play. Best at wagners hotel is the view. Incredible! In next distance is the Villen street with 100-150 years old buildings.ski slopes are just one kilometre away. I Forest and fresh air everywhere. Dinner with 4 courses for 25 euro complete or just separate dishes from daily menu. We had a great time, nature pure and good recharge. Can only recommend.…
