This was a great B&B, lovely house with lots of Arts & Crafts touches, terrific breakfast. But closed! We stayed there in May 2010.

My friend and I recently traveled to Seattle. We stayed with Albert and Barbra and their family for about 7 days. My friend and I stayed in the double room, the beds were so comfortable thanks to the use of memory foam. Our hosts were a great blend of engaging and private. They welomed us every morning over a most... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Musical House on Harvard Street. Albert and Barbara made me feel like one of the family. Every morning, Albert was ready with hot coffee and a breakfast that filled us up for a day of exploring. On the two occasions that we had to leave extremely early, he packed us a "journey box"... Albert and Barbara were great hosts. We enjoyed our room and their hospitality. They were very helpful in our planning. House is very well kept. The location is great - close to a houseboat walk, very near a bus stop and walking distance to Broadway. We had several meals on Broadway and enjoyed them all - especially the pumpkin curry!!... we arrived here very jet lagged with a five year old straight off the plane from beijing. we had a wonderful stay with great food and found very welcoming hosts. they let our daughter walk perrito, their dog in the gorgeous little park around the corner which for her was probably the hilight of seattle. our room was right near... I stayed in one of their "double bed and shared bathroom" accomodations with my partner. Although prepared to share a bathroom, sharing our room was another story--the room next door to us was seperated by a carpet not a wall!!! The place itself was dusty and the washroom sink was full of debris when we got there. Although it is... More

My housband and I spent 2 nights in this B&B and we felt like to be at home. The host was friendly and kind, he has suggested us many things to do and place to visit in Seattle and also help us to find the right way to travel to Canada. The "breakfast smile" is simply delicious: it's different every... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Why is it called “The Musical House?” Viewing the front, The Musical House appears to have two treble clefs lying on their side. The home interior has a distinct spatial integrity with well-sized rooms and passageways. Albert, establisher, owner and operator traveled the world as a professional musician for many years. Albert’s philosophy is that people ought to leave their residence each morning prepared to “sing their song” as their revels itself. ... more   less
