hotel was barely ok, wifi didn't work so had to get cat5 cable. Hotel and parking lot were very dirty and run down, cigarette smells all over, abandoned storage car in parking lot, shuttle service to downtown Anchorage was very nice, however, had to call cab to get back to hotel since the shuttle was "out."

VERY bare bones. Few amenities. Soled bedspreads, pillows with an inidentifiable smell, linen with holes and stains. Towels frayed and well used. Doors not completely sealed. We stayed 4 nights. Good location. Very helpful owners and staff. Kept our fish frozen even when we weren't there. Good breakfast most mornings. Although everything was not perfect, they were quick to respond to problems. The remodeled rooms are quite nice.

There is good character - and there is bad character. Hotel is close to the street and right next to the strip club. Rooms are functional, but not the cleanest or the most inviting. Leaves you wanting to sleep with your clothes on...
