For all my coming and going I stayed here almost 3 weeks in a span of 5 months. The majority of the staff are very friendly and accommodating save for one sour apple. Great atmosphere and very clean. Excellent customer service!

This was my 4th. time staying in Alaska Backpackers, and once again "Very Satisfied". Even though it was a slower due to winter season, it still was very clean and comfortable stay. I now feel like one of the regulars, and thats exactly they way they (The Staff) made me feel.

We live in New Zealand and have seen a lot of hostels. Our Alaska trip was special and Ak Backpackers did the job. Great place to base out of, great price, close to everything we wanted to do and friendly staff.

I have stayed at better hostels, but this one served it's purpose. My private room was decent, and I felt safe there. The bathroom was typical "hostel" quality, and there is a large "commons" area in the basement with good kitchen and comfortable seating area.
