The staff is super friendly and did everything possible to make our stay a memorable experience. We want to move in! The location is ideal, we were able to make a day trip to Monticello something you shouldn't miss. The breakfast was amazing, there was a fridge stocked with beverages and there were snacks available.

I travel a lot for work, and my husband and I travel to a lot of "historic" places, so we've stayed in dozens of hotels and several B&B's over the years. I can say without hesitation that Maury Place is one of, if not, the best place we've ever stayed. We love it so much we came back again and... More

We stayed 4 nights at Maury Place on Monument in mid-May. This elegant B&B has four rooms; we stayed in the Fontaine Suite (Queen bed, & private sitting room). The film, Lincoln, had prompted us to head for Richmond to see some of the historic sites from the Civil War, the film, (we added earlier historic sites like Jefferson's Monticello... More

During my stay, I felt very at home AND very pampered by Jeff and Mac. They took care of dinner reservations for us b/c we weren't sure what restaurants might be best, but after talking to us to get our preferences, they handled the rest -- and the restaurants were great. Snacks were always available at the B&B, and a... More

We live in Richmond but wanted a one night getaway as a birthday celebration for my husband. The inn was a bit above our budget, but our friends had raved about it, so we decided to go for it. It truly was worth every penny. We've been to a lot of inns and hotels in Europe and here in the... More

We chose the Maury Place because it was within walking distance of the Chihuly exhibit. We could not of made a better choice. The house had udated services and the old time charm was left intact. The entire staff were wonderful and friendly. We did not want for anything. Three other couples were there besides us. We had such wonderful conversations... More

We stayed here the weekend after Christmas needing a little get away from DC. I had read positive reviews and I'm here to support all of them. We were lucky enough to enjoy the wonderful Christmas decorations. Although we did some sight seeing, we also enjoyed resting and reading and hanging out at the house. Each of the downstairs rooms... Our first visit to Richmond included a one night stay at Maury Place at Monument as we were enroute to Colonial Williamsburg for Thanksgiving holiday......quite an escape from rainy Seattle area! How can I add to the comments from other former guests.... it is a lovely place to stay and I hope to return. We booked the small room which... More

We stayed here for the second time on a recent trip to Richmond, and once again, I was dumbstruck by how beautiful this property is, and by the level of service the owners provide. Truly, I can't stop talking about it to my friends and family. The entire house was decorated for Christmas, including the mantel in the room where... More

We have been to Maury Place several times and it is always excellent. Jeff Wells makes you feel at home from the minute you walk in the door. The beautiful decor, fabulous breakfast and central location make this the perfect place to stay. It is our home away from home!!
