I stayed one night at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Richmond while visiting the University of Richmond which is about 6 miles from the hotel. Front desk staff service was prompt and friendly. This one convenient hotel. when ever we come to first friday ,this where we stay, just two blocks feom Broad st. You get a cookie (warm) when you check in. There is a nice pool on the roof where you can see for miles. This is a bonus. Parking on the street on weekends is easy.

Good location, close to the VCU campus. Rooms are decently sized, staff are very, very nice. Bar is a bit pricey. Check out the restaurant S@mple nearby.
