A really lovely little hotel, and one of the best dinners we had in Spain. The hotel is well-situated for all kinds of day trips, though the sundeck is inviting enough to stay there all day! The owner is certainly eccentric and a little odd, but the hotel is well worth a visit.

Where can I begin with this hotel?! Upon arrival, which was earlier than the stated check-in time, we were warmly welcomed, given advice on where to park, and shown around the hotel. Luckily our room was ready, although we did wonder if we had arrived at the proper time, whether we would have been allocated a different room. The hotel... More

We recently had our wedding here and it was fantastic, the owner and his wife were very nice and pleasant and make you feel very welcome. The rooms were very clean and each had a different theme, the food was brilliant were had the lamb shoulder in rosemary sauce and the seafood soup for a starter and both were out... More

An excellent Hotel to 'get away from it all' as it really had a magical charm that made you forget reality. Margot was very friendly and made us feel very welcome and showed us to the 'Catholic Kings' room which had all details and decor to justify its theme. It was later at dinner that Burkhard had reserved for us... More

We had a most enjoyable stay here for two nights. We had an amazing Moorish room, and mine host could not have been more helpful and pleasant. But, we were very disappointed that the restaurant was not operating for both nights of our stay - beware this when booking - that was a Sunday and Monday night. I agree with... More

We stayed here in early March and had a very pleasant stay. The town of Benahavis is a gem and we couldn't have been happier with our stay at Amanhavis. The Weber's are exceptional hosts and the food amazing. If there is one thing you must do, it is to have dinner in the restaurant! Of all the meals over... More

The Webers are great hosts but it's the young, French Chef Laurent who steals the show with his culinary delights. Hotel rooms have individual themes. Authentically renovated in the Moorish style, the windows are small for Summer shade but we found the rooms dark in Winter. However, overall this is a very cosy hotel. Request an 'upstairs' room for a... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of September. The service was first class, the room very comfortable and the inner courtyard and pool ideal for relaxing. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and hope to return to enjoy the much praised restaurant.

The best thing about this hotel (assuming you have a young child, and you never can get out to eat in peace!) is that you can dine in the courtyard, with toddler safely asleep in adjacent room (Observatory). It was so nice to be able to do this without worrying about safety of baby sitters etc. Food very good with... More
