I really liked my 1-night stay at this campground. The bathrooms were clean with flush toilets and cold water, and there were plenty of them. Laundry facilities were great. The showers were so-so, but I took one at a heavy-use time, so that's understandable. They do have a grocery store, but the items are pricey and they might not have... More

Facilities here are really great! Flush toilets throughout the campground with running water sinks and plenty of TP. Showers are clean. There's a laundry mat. Grocery store is nicely appointed and even carries some camping gear you might near (particularly cooking stuff). There's also a gift shop (but all the gift shops in the park carry the same items). There's... More

We just spent one night at this campground last week and really enjoyed it. You are able to reserve a site online and once you arrive they let you drive around and pick out which site you want, which I love. There are a ton of sites - from fairly open ones with great mountain views to private sites completely... More

We got a great site at this campground, very private, trees, we had a small open bluff where mule deer would come through for a walk and chew. The campground staff were so friendly, which made me wish we had spent more time at the park. The sites at the park are a really neat attraction for adults and I... More

This is what a National Park campgound should be. Friendly staff, large site, full hookups and abundant wild life. Although we had to make a short hike to showers, they were clean and plentiful. An out of the way destination, Mesa Verde and the surrounding area is WELL worth the drive. We hope to come back again.

The location inside Mesa Verde NP was convenient for seeing the sights, and breathtakingly beautiful in its own right. However, the design of this campground is a bit odd. The sites are kind of small, with only a few big enough to accommodate a family size tent and a sun shelter, and natural shading is lacking. There is also a... More

We spent two nights here as we ventured around Utah, Arizona and Colorado. Out of the three places we stayed this was the dirtiest bathroom wise and least updated. We were camping in a tent on Anasazi path. The bathrooms by us had no hot water and were often dirty and lacked toilet paper. The showers were fine if you... More

Of course, we stayed at some bad sites along the way, so that may have colored our experience a bit. The campground was well protected, isolated enough from other campers, near some great hiking trails, and had a good sized store, laundry facilities, and showers nearby. It was very quiet at night, and the stars were fantastic. Morefield has a... More

Loved Morefield Campground! Stayed there two nights mid August, friendly rangers and staff. Sites varied from highly covered vegitation to wide open sites and some in between. We arrived around 3pm on a Friday, still plenty of sites to choose from - but it did seem to fill up by the end of the night each night. Restrooms and showers... More

We spent 3 nights at Morefield Village and we were very happy there - but we were lucky to get one of the best tent sites - it was surrounded by trees so we had not only shade, but also privacy. We arrived about 3 PM in mid-week but high season (July) and had some selection. In hunting for a... More
