We thought the town has died, but it was the off season. Stayed here as it looked the only place open. Didn't look much on the outside but was actually really nice. Very comfortable, great location handy to Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore etc. Continental breakfast included. Food was pretty old, jam was rock hard.

I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in to our room. It was clean and a nice size. Curtains opened to a beautiful view of the mountains. Nice

We stayed here during our family trip through South Dakota. The hotel was a nice place to stay with a friendly gal at the front desk. We were a little disappointed the pool was closed since it is the off season, but we liked out room with the balcony and the pizza place down stairs is wonderful! I would stay... More

We were here in September, which meant there weren't a lot of other guests. We did not have any problems with finding a parking space, and only had one night with noisy neighbors. I agree with other reviewers, the parking lot is difficult to manuever through, and schlepping lugguge up the stairs to the room was a real pain. The... More

From outside the hotel looks nice with balconies.. We were delighted,( but not for long), to get a room on the 3rd floor. Even though there were few guests, they gave us a room to the back of the hotel. Instead of a balcony our window had a parking lot directly in front of it. Yes, on the 3rd floor,... More

As with most properties, the Roosevelt Inn, has different classes of rooms at different price points. This guest was given exactly the room she booked. Had she wanted a balcony she could have booked a balcony room at a slightly higher rate. The fact that she was not given a free upgrade seemed to upset her. Her actions are like... More

Found this hotel through TripAdvisor. Rates were less than the competition all around it. It's an older hotel, but privately owned and operated. Very helpful front desk. The room we had was a "studio" - a king bed and a small table and chairs situated a couple of steps up in a dormer-type window area. The bathroom was clean but... More

We stayed in the loft suite, which consisted of two king sized beds and two twins in the loft. The room was clean and the towels weren't dingy like someone else had mentioned in their review. The beds were very comfortable (soft not hard like other hotels), slept very well, better then any other hotel beds. The staff was very... More

Great location. Very accommodating hosts during Sturgis Motorcycle Rally week. Nice rooms, great beds, clean. The owners were out and about. I would also highly recommend the Big Time PIzza that is located in the bottom floor of the hotel. Very good pizza....especially the Quad. Must be a good place too because it was busy every night.

August 10-12 we stayed at the Roosevelt Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The inn provided a hot tub for tired bikers, a good breakfast (delicious self-made waffles), a good pizza place connected to the inn, and friendly hospitality. The owners provided us with information for traveling through the Black Hills area, and the inn was an easy location... More
