I apprecaiate the history of this hotel but that's about all it's got going for it. Me and my husband stayed here for one night on route to New Orleans. The lobby is rather nice but the rooms are as basic as they come. They are in serious need of updating. It's right in downtown Natchez, which is a bonus,... More

All I can do is echo most of the other reviews. It's an historic hotel that exudes charm from a by-gone era. The lobby is quite nice, as is the courtyard patio reminiscent of the French Quarter. We stayed in a non-balcony, ordinary room on the second floor. It was quite small, almost European in dimensions. We had to move... More

One of my favorite hotels in the Mississippi/Louisiana area. It smells history. Nothing to do with trivial chain hotels. This is really a place to come over.

Wonderful lobby, full of history, statues, paintings, a fountain, a pleasant sitting area. Our room was clean and comfy, well equipped and had a great bed. Don't stay here if you want a perfectly faultless place. Because of its age there are chips and scratches to be found. Do choose the Eola if you want to see a wonderful old... More

While the Natchez Eola has been a favorite of mine for many years, I suppose I'll have to give up on it. My husband and I spent last week-end there and were heart broken at the condition it's in. It is an old and historic hotel in great location, but the years are taking their toll. The whole place needs... More

We stayed one night at the Eola due to a scheduling conflict at our B&B. We enjoyed our stay at this grand old hotel. The lobby is beautiful, the staff was very helpful. Convenient to downtown restaurants and bars. Our room was comfortable so not much more you could ask for. Would for sure stay there again.

I stayed for a week while on extended business trip to Natchez. The lobby is wonderful down to the elevators, but the rooms are horrible. No "Southern Charm" whatsoever. Dirty old comforters and plastic mattress pads. The rooms are definitely pet and smoker friendly. I would never stay there again, but would take a walk through the lobby.

Spent three nights there in one of their 7th floor, balcony rooms. The room was comfortable, the staff attentative and the view fantastic. The were very visible signs of age such as worn carpet and wallpaper peeling from the walls. The most noticable was the bath fixtures. The tub had no slip protection and no assist bars. The sink was... More

We stayed here for four days while visiting Natchez and had a wonderful experience. This historic hotel transports you back to the late 1940s with its interior and historic furnishings. Truly a beautiful place which we would stay at again. Its location is perfect in downtown Natchez and convenient to many historical sites. While not as modern than other hotels,... More

Though it is an older hotel, the charm more than makes up for that. I've stayed here numerous times over the years and my latest visit was just as enjoyable. The bartender, I believe her name was Julie, was fun and I found both locals and guests stopping in for drinks.
