On our week long driving adventure in Cuba( coming from Havana) we were heading to Trinidad when the day overtook us and it was time to find that evenings home sweet home. Well imagine our surprise as we are headed(lost again!lol)down a very dark, dead end road dodging huge crabs bigger than your hand -scurrying off into the brush! Mating... More

The worst hotel I have ever been in my life, my friend and I took 2 rooms, they were both very dirty, used toilet paper on the floor, dirty sheets and towels, a naked cable hanging from the seeling, cockroaches all over the place, the reception after our complain said "oh yes we know"!!!!!!!! Plates in the restaurant very dirty,... More

This hotel is a large open air structure on the remote south coast of Cuba. The rooms were modest but the grounds are lovely including a large salt-water pool. The buffet was adequate and included fresh meat or fish every day, as well as Cuban rice, lots of fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, and the omelette station which is so popular... More

I stayed here one evening as a part of an overnight excursion from Varadero to Cienfuegos. We arrived at the hotel via a boat which had taken us on a sunset cruise. On the dock, we were greeted by musicians and dancers from the hotel. The hotel itself is a funky 1960s style. We had our meal in a private... More

Our tour agency lost the reservation at Hotel Jagua and we were put up at Pasacaballo. We paid for 5 star hotel but got 2 stars accommodation. Our room was on the top floor. View was great but the door had cracks and light could shine through. The air conditioner does not work too well. The wash basin did not... More

While staying at hotel Rancho Luna about 5 or 10 minutes up the road, I decided to stay here for a couple nights. Great meals and you can get free breakfast and a very cheap and good dinner. About 20 minutes and a $10 cab ride to town. Not on the beach but its a $5 cab ride up the... More

I came in late at night and had very little time to take advantage of all the services of the hotel. I must say that in the morning the place was very bright and nice. I will return again. I hardly give good reviews because I am very hard to please. This is my 4th trip to Cuba and first... More

I have been to this hotel on at least 5 occasions over the past 3 years. It is very clean and the staff is wonderful. Most of them speak english and will go out of their way to help out. The rooms are spacious, clean and air conditioned. The meals are rather fixed with a menu to choose from that... More

The hotel was extremely far (20 minutes in Taxi) from cienfuegos in the middle of nowhere. The hotel was clean, but as with other hotels in Cuba, there are no luxuries, dining room was very stark, 1960s office furniture style. I didn't see any other tourists there at the time. Part of the window in the room was just louvers,... More

Peachey writes: Had a great New Years in 2002! I was totally most sastified to the fullest extent with regards to my staying at this property. The food was more than superb. The staff were better than I could of imagined. My other friends I met in Nuclear City were really cool. Security on scene were very proffesional, and personable.... More
