I generally dislike large resorts like this one. Too many people. Obnoxious folks that like to talk loud to make there points. Loud children having tantrums with beseeching parents. This is what I encountered as I first walked in. That is my commentary on the people that stay at these places. As for the physical plant, it was excellent. The... More

I stayed 5 nights at this beautiful resort w a room that faced the Chapel Lawn/Sea. The view was just beautiful! This resort is HUGE with beatiful landscaping, koi pond, A Chapel (fake), fountains, open area with lots of wind! Do ask for a room with easy access to the pool or beach if you plan to spend most of... More

I want to extend our thanks to the Grand Wailea for the best family vacation we have enjoyed the past 15 years. From our checkin we were treated as family. he first person to work with us was the strongest front desk advocate for my family and my satisfaction in 30 years of business and personal travel. She treated us... More

My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights and had a wonderful time!! They greet you at Valet with a Lei and are very professional about parking your car. The only problem we had would be the fact the walls were a little thin where the door connects the room next door. We could hear the neighbors alot, but... More

My husband and I spent one week at the Grand Wailea with our two kids and my mother. Great for the kids. Loved the many pools, slides, rope swing etc. Thought the rooms were very nice and comfortable. I liked that there was an empty refrigerator for our use. We filled it with items from the grocery store which made... More

Spent last night at the Grand Wailea and loved every minute of it. This is not Hawaii's high season so we were lucky enough to get our room upgraded to one with a fabulous view. The room was great. I believe all rooms on this property have balconies. There were multiple swimming pools, restaurants and bars. There was one pool... More

I got to the Grand Wailea after being at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai...completely different scenes. Too many families and less privacy at the Wailea.... No special acknowledgement for honeymooners where we received complimentary services in Kauai and the Kahala resort in Honolulu. I felt there were alot of hidden costs with this hotel that have really turned me off...you... More

From moment we arrived, the reception of the bell captain, all the way to the room check in was over the top...Even though this was our first visit, my wife thought I was an owner or a very frequent guest of the resort. The service, room (we were given one of the royal suites, wow!)...restaurant, breakfast buffet and water features... More

We just returned from Maui last night after spending four nights at the Grand Wailea. Oh my! The view from our room was beautiful and we enjoyed every minute we were there!! So much to see and explore on the grounds. The landscaping was incredible and the beach was beautiful!! We were in the Napua tower on the third floor... More

Grand Wailea is an absolutely gorgeous resort with expansive grounds, lush gardens, numerous waterfalls, fountains, koi ponds, and pools. It also happens to share the number one beach in Maui, Wailea Beach, with the Four Seasons next door. From the moment you arrive, you will be impressed (the pictures online don't really do it justice). Once you step out of... More
