We stayed at Hanga Roa Hostal over New Year which was obviously the reason for the higher price. The hostel lies at the seafront and we were lucky to stay in the only room with direct access to the terrace and sea view. Our room was so tiny there was no space for suitcase and backpack. Stayed here for 4 nights. My buddy and I paid $15/person/night for the first 2 nights but then paid $25/person/night for the weekend because it was the holiday.
