We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this quaint little house atop a hill. We had a beautiful view of the Hunter Valley from the balcony attached to our room complete with finches and a few wallabies roaming about just beneath the balcony itself. While the owner lived in the lower level of the house, there were many times we forget they were there as they were so unintrusive. The room was clean and spacious, with a large ensuite and spa bath, mini fridge, table and chairs with plates, glasses and cutlery and when it was a little humid we had a split air con above the bed. The owners have thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay! The residence is quite tucked away and private, yet still less than a 15 drive to shops and vineyards. Absolutely loved our stay and would stay here again! PS. We booked with them direct via their website and got 10% off our stay price.

We stayed at Bimbadeen Mountain retreat for a weekend and found it to be fantastic. Great accomodation, very comfy bed, as well as beautiful breakfast served on the verandah with a view right across the Valley. Chris and Joe are great hosts, and the place was better than expected. The views are better than the pictures can show.

Thank you so much to Chris and Joe for the most amazing stay at Bimbadeen! Hands down, our stay with you was one of the highlights of our whole Australia trip. If anyone is contemplating a stay in the Hunter Valley then look no further. This place is absolutely stunning... beautiful bedrooms with outstanding country views. We even had wild wallabies joining us for breakfast on the patio. Chris and Joe welcomed us into their home like special guests. It was my mom's 60th birthday and they made it so memorable by taking us wine tasting in their limo (we also ended up staying up late chatting to Chris as if part of the family!) We really cannot recommend this place enough... what a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Chris and Joe were incredible hosts. We received a courtesy call the day before we arrived with advice on how to get to and from a concert we were attending that weekend. Our self contained cottage was charming, peaceful and cozy and we felt truly at peace in their beautiful courtyard. Our fridge and pantry were fully stocked for three day's breakfast (loaf of bread, cereal (gluten free available, yoghurt, strawberries, blueberries, block of chocolate, butter, tea, coffee and sugar). Chris and Joe also gave us a map and reccomended wonderful places for lunch, views and the best wineries to visit. We decided to go for a full day wine tour with them and their Wine Country Limousines company, Joe was our chauffeur and took us to wonderful boutique wineries with VIP treatment. We truly loved every minute of our stay and hope to be back soon! 5 out of 5 stars! Many thanks from Callum and Jasmine

Chris the owner was very warm, welcoming and accommodating from the very moment we set foot in the door. You could tell she took great pride in this beautiful home that she and her husband spent 12 years building (incredible stories about the old wood and bricks used in the building). The house has incredible views and is so peaceful compared to the Sydney hustle and bustle we are used to, and it was so cosy, relaxing and spacious. The rooms were thoughtful decorated with a cosy bed and two highlights - the jacuzzi bath with amazing views over the Hunter, and the balcony again with amazing views but also a Kanagaroo and joey (and other wildlife) right below our balcony! We enjoyed a continental breakfast on the balcony attached to our room while enjoying the views and also feeding Skippy! Location was good (you obviously need a car), but lots of wineries close by to visit. Definitely recommend this little family run business, such a hidden gem!

Very peaceful location with stunning views. Lovely breakfast was brought up to our room every morning and it was a delight to eat it sitting on our little balcony looking over the countryside. The spa bath was great and everything was provided. Our room was tidied each day and we were given fresh towels. The only downside was the lack of coffee. Only instant coffee was available. We would have lingered longer over breakfast if we'd had the option of a good coffee. Perhaps a plunger could be added as an option. Also, perhaps wifi could be offered. We needed to stay in touch with family overseas and it would have been great to let them see how beautiful it was where we were staying.

Hi Louisa Thank you for your review on Tripadvisor great to hear you enjoyed lovey breakfast that was delivered to you private balcony each morning of your stay and the spa bath was great and you were happy with everything provided room tidied daily and fresh towels. The downside was lack of plunger coffee during the 3 days you stayed you didn't ask for plunger coffee if it was such a major downside if you would of asked I would of gladly delivered a plunger of coffee to you daily no problem at all. With regard to wifi we clearly advertise on Booking.com the site you booked from we don't have wifi or internet connections for personal use by guests, so it should not be expected by guests as it is clearly not provided. You can get perfect good reception on your own phone and tablet with your own data from our property we have no problems with reception. I asked you daily is there any more I can help you with during your stay and you said no everything is fine even at check out you did not mention any negative comments you said everything was lovely and we have a lovey place. So reading you had some issues on a review site as extremely disappointing if you could of mentioned them during your stay and I could of rectified the issues. My husband and I are very proud of our property and work very hard to maintain our property I have just also read the review on Booking.com and I am very hurt by your score it is the lowest I have ever been scored in 17 years

As you drive up the road towards the property you know you are in for a treat. The views are absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in the self-contained cottage and it was so cozy. The nights were a bit chilly but you wouldn't even know it inside with the option of a fireplace and air conditioning to keep warm! The breakfast provided was perfect and being able to sit out on the balcony watching the birds and listening to the cows was an experience that won't be forgotten. Chris and Joe were wonderful hosts and made it feel very homely. As we were checking out a Wallaby was chilling on the property and Chris and Joe made sure that we spotted it and interacted with it before we left. Can't wait to go back again!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, we wished it was for much longer! Such a beautiful homely feel. We were served breakfast up to our room and enjoyed that amazing view both mornings. The spa bath was beautiful and most importantly, the bed was very comfortable! The level of hospitality from Chris and her husband was above and beyond!

My Fiancé & I stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our birthday & Anniversary. This was the perfect place for a quiet & romantic weekend away. We stayed in the Watagans deluxe spa suite which had magnificent views of the mountains from the balcony. The owners are lovely, very helpful & accommodating & the continental breakfast each morning was delicious. Definitely recommend staying here :)
