We enjoyed our stay here, Trish was a great host and Collin is a real character the separate cabin style rooms are clean, modern and functional, and the breakfasts were very good, we had a sunday evening dinner with our hosts and it was excellent really good to get some home cooked food after three weeks of travel. Collin's passion... More

Trish is a lovely lady, I emailed before we set of on this long trip to organise doing some washing when we arrived, which was a massive help to us, on arriving after showing us or room and asking a very welcome cup of tea showed me the washer, I was able to get it all done and when we... More

Stayed two nights based on all the reviews here. We must say that the reviews here overrate this place. It's functional but that's about it. The rooms are okay. Wifi doesn't work in the external rooms. The breakfast is most average - toast, yoghurt and fruit. At a B&B, you expect a bit more effort. New Zealand has some amazing... More

There is very limited choice of accommodation, around the glacier areas on New Zealands southern, west coast and at peak times, it naturally gets more difficult to find suitable accommodation. The best you can hope for is somewhere comfortable and warm, which we found at this little husband and wife run bed and breakfast property in the township of Fox... More

We had a very warm welcome and felt very very for our night at Ropatini’s Homestay. Even if it was just before Christmas and our hosts had family coming, we had dinner with them, and it was such a great moment. The dishes where delicious and we had a very good time. Trish arranged for us a helicopter tour around... More

We arrived here after travelling from Christchurch through magnificent scenery but were very tired. Once we arrived here, wow, what a nice surprise! We were met by Trish & Colin who greeted like long lost friends. We immediately refreshed with a cuppa and delicious home baking and made to feel truly welcome. After an hours nap and freshen up we... More

We arrived at this B&B and were very disappointed. Although the property received very high ratings from Trip Advisor guests, we were NOT impressed and really can't figure out why the B&B has received such high ratings in the past. The rooms / cabins are dingy and in desperate need of an update. The exterior of the property was not... More

Trish and Collin gave us a warm welcome to the accommodation and Trish provided one of the most substantial meals we ate during our trip; dish after dish arrived. And eating at Collin's incredible table made this even more special. We wish we could have eaten more of Trish's wonderful vegetables but the chicken and lamb was also so tempting.... More

The breakfast and view of Mt Cook from the beautiful breakfast spread were amazing! It was also nice to watch a rugby match with Collin, Trish and two other guests sipping some lovely local wine they offered. It was one of the few locations we stayed that had free wireless internet, so we could catch up with friends/family back home.... More

We were so impressed by the genuine hospitality and friendliness of both Trish and Colin. The accommodation was first class, a welcoming drink and snacks on arrival and a grand breakfast in the Morning Their recommedations of where to eat, what to see and do could only come from people with local knowledge and interest. We enjoyed sharing their obvious... More
