We stayed here last summer on our way to Gatlinburg, TN for a family reunion. It is a typical layout for newer Hampton Suite Hotels, which is why we like it. Clean rooms, adequate breakfast and was convenient to a number of chain restaurants nearby.

Had reservations here for our trip down to FL. Arrived late and was put in a smoking room. Room was very musty. Hard to sleep it smelled so bad. Staff tried to accommodate but was still not a very pleasant stay.

This was an overnight stay on our road trip for spring break. We arrived fairly late and was pleased with the efficient check in process. The lobby itself is welcoming and clean. Very nice. When I booked this, I thought this location was on I-75 just north of the I-475 bypass but found that it wasn't but it all worked out. This is my second visit to Macon in recent weeks. On my first trip, I stayed on the West side of town which was not convenient to the downtown area. This is our choice for our annual conference we attend rather than the host hotel. Fitness room is above average and the entire hotel is very very clean. Typical Hampton breakfast, but again very clean and well stocked. Rooms are nice and quiet, closeness to the nice outside mall is also very attractive.

Other hotels nearby but we chose the Hampton Inn. Right choice. From the entrance to once we were in our room, clean, smelled good, friendly and helpful staff. The experience was good. This is a better than average Hampton. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean. they have an afternoon reception and provide free beer and wine, and some nice small plates, wings the night I was there. Close to some good restaurants. I'll stay here the next time I'm in Macon.
