We were sorry we had to turn on the air conditioning/heating unit in our room. The cycling on and off was so noisy! I doubt any of the other units were any better, but our room's was awful. With a location very close to Temple Square, this hotel was a reasonable price ($188.86 incl taxes for two nights) however the hallways and bathroom were not very clean and the overall milieu felt a bit sketchy.

Reasonably priced, excellent location. Many $ have been spent in renovating this location-paint, carpeting, beds, bedding, and they're not done yet. I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend in 2011 and again in 2012. If I go to SLC again next year, I will gladly stay here again. Very happy overall.

It's a relatively inexpensive hotel situated in downtown. If you are having a meeting or attending meetings in the Salt Palace, this would be the cheaper option. It's about a 15 minutes walk to Salt Palace.

There are many reasons I wouldn't stay here again. We chose this hotel for it's location and price but the hotel is run down and dirty.
