Our first trip to the Pacific Ocean and the hotel was just as expensive as we had paid for lesser locations, so we were okay with the price. It was a nice large room with spacious bathroom and dressing area. Views of the Pacific Ocean could be seen from the large windows.

Although it did not say so this hotel was pet friendly. They charge $10 dollars for children over 10 yes of age or pets of any age/size - in otherwords $10 for children whether 2 or 4 legged. This hotel is clean, with ocean views from the South side rooms, without the rundown RV park. The hotel is well located with easy access to the Redwood National Forest and restaurants. This was a pleasant surprise for the money. Friendly staff at the front desk and a comfortable bed.
