A good value and very clean for AAA rate of $44, but you get what you pay for: a bare-bones motel that's a good choice when you're on a budget. Free wi-fi and basic breakfast, but we left too early to sample the breakfast.

Motel looks scary from hwy. It is located away from harbor/restaurant area but right off of Hwy 101. Price was cheap but it is an old hotel, needs love. The best going for this clean standard budget motel is it's location between the magnificant redwood forests and the Pacific Ocean with dramatic seastacks and historic lighthouse, no more than a few miles in either direction from the motel parking lot. Walgreen's, Denny's, fast food places, and Safeway are two minute drives.

Best thing about room was ample parking in front of room door. No AC. Breakfast almost gone at 8 am. Chair was too rickety to sit on. It was cheaper, but the quality was directly related to price. Only good if you plan to simply sleep and drive.
