My fiance and I just stayed at the Deer Crest for an extended weekend. We had been loyal to another hotel for our 2-3 yearly trips to Estes Park, but that hotel had closed for the Thanksgiving/Christmas season. Well, we are so GLAD they were closed, as it gave us the chance to try the Deer Crest. We had read... More

We stayed here for the weekend of 28/29th October 2011. The property from the outside didn't look anything special, but it more than made up for it on the inside. Our accommodation, which was the Bear Den Suite, was very, very clean and the room was serviced daily. It was exactly as described being decorated in a cabin theme with... More

We rented a mini suite, we were so happy with everything. The kitchenette was useful, the room was large and the location was very nice. The only knock would be the bed was a little hard, but the seats along the river, the hottub, and the view out our front door were all very nice. Would stay again in a... More

Having its location along the river where there is a 'waterfall' is nice. One of the entrances to Rocky Mountain NP is just down the highway from Deer Crest. There is a grassy area behind the building, and there are several trees along the riverside. The building has 26 units on two levels. Upper level is about the same elevation... More

We were surprised at the comment regarding "walkways to stairs and parking area were dark at night." There is a light outside each room in the walkways and hallways. There are LED lights along all the stairways. There are globe lights along the River. There are lights in the parking lot and in the trees and along the walk from... More

Stayed in the Fall River suite for five nights, first time to Estes Park and RMNP. This location and resort were all we could hope for. Simple, clean, spacious resort in a great location to both Fall River and main gateway to RMNP, as well as town of Estes itself. Some mentioned walking into town from here, definietly doable, approx... More

We stayed at the Deer Crest many years ago and after a disappointing stay at a B&B downtown several years ago decided to try the Deer Crest again. We weren't disappointed. Though the rooms are somewhat dated they are well maintained and are along the beautiful Fall River. We stayed in the downstairs end unit and we were happy with... More

Great deal for the price, and great deal any way. This was our first stay but it won't be our last. We chose a room without kitchen and still had fridge, micro and coffee maker, so doggy bags from our trips to Tulum's and Egg and I were kept there as well as fruit and things picked up at the... Once again we had a great stay at Deer Crest. Stayed in our usual mini suite and enjoyed the new table and chairs on the patio. The housekeeping at Deer Crest is always good and you can't find a cleaner kitchen. The dishes are sparse and it would be nice if they added some larger serving bowls. We used a... More

Like almost all hotels in Estes Park, this hotel looks like it was decorated by a small town grandmother. But no matter - it was comfortable, had a great location, and was spotlessly clean. Also, the service was fantastic - owners were very happy to offer great suggestions and to be accommodating. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Excellent location if you want to be near RMSP. Very quiet. Bed a bit hard and uncomfortable and light streams in the small window that faces the highway.
