We stayed at Hampton Inn for our daughter's Brown Graduation. It is easy walking distance to the Green and all of Brown. The room was clean, well stocked, and the breakfast is included. There are also nice restaurants in easy walking distance.

We stayed here for Brown Reunion weekend and really enjoyed our time. We didn't spend too much time at the hotel due to the festivities, but found everything we needed while there...free breakfast, free wi-fi, and a shuttle that took us to the train station, all at a great rate. There didn't seem to be much going on around the... More

We stayed here for our daughter's graduation from Brown and found it to be the perfect accomodations. The staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful. Tayla in particular was patient and understanding as we worked out conflicting reservations at another hotel. The shuttle was a life saver as we made multiple trips up the steep hill to campus.

The Hampton in downtown Providence is a treasure. Like much of Providence it is a fine example of preserved architecture put to modern use. [It was originally a bank and the vault is still there!] The result is a warm, homey atmosphere with style and comfort. Though rooms can be modest, they are invariably clean and comfortable. Staff go out... More

I Stayed at the Hampton Inn for concert in January 2012. I don't have one bad thing to say about this hotel. Checking in was very fast & the girl working at the front desk was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and had a huge shower! Me and... More

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Providence Downtown. I went to school in Providence and the hotel was not there when I was in school. I did drive passed the hotel the first time around. The building itself could use a touch more signage. I wouldn't go neon overboard since the building itself is very beautiful.... More

This hotel is perhaps the closest to Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design. It's a short (but somewhat steep) walk to campus. If you are visiting either college, a car is not necessary. The hotel shuttle dropped us off near campus one morning when we were running late. Breakfast is included and is the usual Hampton Inn... My son and I decided to join my wife in Providence, RI when she attended a conference over a long weekend. It was a good choice and so was choosing Hampton Inn. Providence is so compact everything downtown is within an easy walk. The Hampton Inn is in a fine old building but thoroughly modern, clean and a good value.... More

I stayed at the Hampton Inn two days ago in downtown providence and I loved the experience. The hotel offers excellent service and is conveniently located to restaurants and shops. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service and complementary breakfast. The hotel staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The room was clean and the best super comfortable. In general, my stay at... More

We found this Hampton Inn by accidentally driving into the parking lot behind it, on the canal side of the building. Happy mistake! The fee for 24 hours of parking in this private lot is $15 instead of the $25 the hotel charges, and it's not valet. We were able to access our car easily for the things we needed... More
