Great location! I took the Amtrak train and walked about a half a mile to the hotel. Seemed a pretty safe walk during the day. However, I had my suitcase and laptop bag and struggled walking up the driveway in the front of the hotel which you could easily miss. I realized I could have gone through the parking garage... More

Once you arrive at the hotel and park, you won't need to use your car again until you leave. That almost makes up for the expensive per day parking rate ($26). The hotel is a typical Courtyard Marriott. Rooms were very nice, clean, spacious and well equipt. Bathrooms were okay. Clean, but shower/tub seemed to be lower standards than the... More

I got a great deal on this hotel ($63/ night) bidding through Priceline. We live in Boston so this was a quick weekend away while our hardwood floors got redone. You couldn't pick a better location in Providence. It's a 10 minute walk to the mall, 10 minute walk to trendy DownCity, and within a 2 minute walk to pubs,... More

Stayed here for just one night on the way to a wedding and found the rooms to be very comfortable, spacious enough, and clean. Location is great too as it's walking distance to plenty of restaurants and a mall. Main problem is if you plan on driving here. The parking lot is very tiny and when we arrived, we had... More

I thought being close to the convention center would be a plus. I have never stayed anyplace with so much street noise. Well maybe Myrtle Beach during bike week. I know there is not much room in this city but pulling in for check in is rediculous. No indication of where to park but other cars parked every which way.... More

I stayed here on business and had never stayed at a Marriott in quite some time. So I'm comparing it to other chain hotels such as the Hiltons and Holiday Inns. Pros: Great location. The convention center is right across the street. There is an upscale mall right across the street and there are plenty of restaurants within a short... More

My secretary booked me at the Courtyard for a recent business trip to Providence. I was very pleased with my stay and the accomodations. The rooms appear to have been recently updated and contain beautiful wooden furniture and a generous amount of space for a single traveler. You get free wifi access and a fridge w/in your room (trust me... More

Stayed here March 3rd for a bachelor party and it was perfectly located in the center of everything. There are a lot of good restaurants right next to the hotel. I highly reccomend Union Station Brewery half a block away. There is also Flemings Steakhouse across the street and nice shopping a block away. Other bars, breweries and restaurants are... More

Bad experience back in November but since stayed 2 more times since then. Pleased to report that my bad experience was not repeated and hence the rating upgrade but mgt/staff needs to realize that the 1 bad experience had me staying at other area hotels (Hilton, Marriott, Westin) and all were just as good as the Courtyard.

We frequently stay at Courtyard by Marriott in our travels, because we are familiar with their various amenities- a clean, comfortable room, convenient breakfast cafe with a reliable, well-stocked breakfast buffet, and professional, swift check-in. As opposed to the Renaissance, our room had a brightly lit mirror over the bathroom sink. But the location of this Courtyard, smack in the... More
