Our "pre-arranged" booking was handled very poorly, keys did not work after rooms were changed, all kinds of excuses, our rooms are utilitarian, too hot for comfort, holes in duvet cover, unmatched furniture. For over $200 per day, I expect some luxury in my surroundings and treatment. The manager did happen to be at the desk during the room/key problem,... More

We like Westins. They have always been good to us. The heavenly bed is just that and the double shower heads rule.

Usually stay at Rennaissance but thought we would try something different. After pre-arranging for quiet room we ended up with a horribly noisey room - street noise resulting in 2 hours sleep. Next day's call to desk resulted in room change. Bell service never showed to help with relocation. Thus, we shuttled all our bags across the hotel. After a... More

Fans of the famous John Cleese British TV comedy series, Fawlty Towers, would probably have felt the same mixture of emotions that I did when having breakfast at Centro, a restaurant at The Westin, Providence, Rhode Island. The first most of the diners knew there was something unusual going on was when children on a nearby table started squealing. A... More

Nice hotel. Ideally located in town and close to restaurants. Service was good and hotel has a modern feel to it. Valet parking is expensive at $28 per night.

I was reading some previous reviews - I was surprised by some of the negative comments. Here is my review and objective opinion. This is clean, modern, four star accommodation in a great location. The rooms are of average size with nice fixtures. Beds are very comfortable - plenty of pillows and great bedding with duvets. In the evenings they... More

My wife and I stayed at the Westin Providence again on a weekend in early May 2012. We stayed in the East tower, 15th. floor, in a corner deluxe room. This is the first time that we had this type of room and it was wonderful. The room had a very comfortable king-size bed, a sitting area, and a huge... More

We stayed here for 2 days and thought it was nice, but not great. I had confirmed my reservation twice prior to arrival and there was still problems when we arrived. We had booked & paid for a junior suite, but got a standard room. Back to the lobby & 45 minutes later, finally got to the right room. The... More

The westin is attached to the mall in providence which makes it convenient to go shopping in inclement weather. There are restaurants nearby, and it is close to RISD and Brown University. We had a car, which I would recommend. They have free internet in the lobby, but charge in the rooms. THe hotel itself is very nice. All the... More

I came here for a conference. I will admit, the conference accomodations were very nice - the AV always seemed to work, good refreshments, nice conference room. That is where the good stuff ends. Check in was long. Wi-fi is not included, fine - my husband & I each brought a laptop, and you have to purchase wi-fi for EACH... More
