We have stayed at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and liked the area. Its a nice secluded area in a residential and scenic section of Tucson. A family member provided timeshare points for us to enjoy this location. Thanks to Kara at the front desk we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite which was very nice and spacious... More

We came to Starr Pass via timeshare trade. The place is very nice (not exceptional). Though the room was a little "tired", the staff is extremely gracious and helpful. The property backs up on Tucson Mountain Park, with miles of hiking right out the door. Only complaint - the studio, or B-side rooms have zero access to the outside except... More

Its a little out of the way but thats what we wanted. The rooms was nice enough and the pool and hot tub were nice. There is hiking all around. We used it as an overnight to go kayaking at Patagonia. But the views around there are beautiful.

We drove 3,650kms to spend 2 wks at this location with no previous knowledge other than word of mouth, guess what our info was underestimated, the overall staff were wonderful but we have to give the reception staff, Sarita, Trish and one other who's name escapes me but they were wonderful and even on departure begged us to stay and... My husband and I stayed in a one-bedroom casita at the Starr Pass Golf Suites in Tucson for three nights and had a nice, relaxing experience. Two things that made our stay noteworthy were the front desk staff -- Sarita and the young blond woman, who went out of their way to make sure the unit met our expectations --... More

The great thing about this place is that you dont feel like your in a hotel. You feel likes its your own personal town house away from the city, and nestled right in the Saguaro desert. It was perfect. The staff was fabulous, and the bed was great! LOVED our views of the mountains and Saguaros! Plus a hiking trail... More

Nice property, if maybe a little out of the way. Rooms were clean, the front desk very helpful and the beds are the most comfortable I've experienced. My #1 choice next time I'm in town.

A wonderful place to stay. Very private and quiet. Great to be near the Sonora-Arizona Desert Museum.

We had a wonderful time at Starr Pass. It was beautiful, relaxing and memorable. The fresh air and beautiful mountain views were so nice. We even had a cute little pack of javelinas visit outside of our window. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this place and will hopefully vacation there again sometime in the... More

Did a point trade through Marriott to try this property. It's more for conferences than an intimate stay. Big common spaces and small rooms for the price. Beautiful setting overlooking Tucson. We left after one night; originally reserved six nights. Just not our type of place. Front desk personnel friendly but understaffed. Neat pool and veranda areas.
