This was a first class hotel. The highlight is a large patio that overlooks the city below. It has natural gas fire pits with comfortable seating seating all around. They sell Smore kits (marshmallows, chocolate bars, graham crackers), which was fun. The hotel is next to a large park that has several miles of hiking trails. We did that a... More

Had an incredible stay at the Marriott. The resort is in an impressive setting with one of the best mountain and city views in Tucson. Rooms are very comfortable. Was able to sleep with the windows open and get up to the cool desert breeze. Bathrooms with full length mirrors and separate shower and bath...girlfriend loved it:) Spent much of... More

This is not up to the typical standard for a JW Marriott property but it was nice enough. The spa pool is calm and the yoga class was great! I highly recommend it. The menu choices at the pool restaurant were limited and not too many health choices - I ate the same salad three days in a row.

We decided to take a quick 1.5 hour trip down to Tucson for Memorial day weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather and play in the pools. This resort has become one of our favorites for quick get a ways. It's in a beautiful location situated in the south foothills overlooking Tucson. The view of the city lights at night is... More

I would like to share my experience at this hotel. It was the first time we stayed at this hotel and I have to say everything was great. We really had a great time. I brought my mom and my 9 year old daughter. I stayed there because there were a lot of activities planned for the kids. The kid... More

We spent two nights here at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend. It was a great stay with variety and fantastic staff. We arrived early and were able to check in early to our executive suite as well as a standard room we rented for family members. The suite was very roomy and had a nice balcony. We were expecting... I stayed at the JW on a business trip May 15-18. The location is away from downtown Tucson about 30 min from the airport. Cab fare is about $40 one way. Very pretty location, beautiful grounds, 2 pools - one adult and one with a lazy river. One comment about the pools was they seemed to not clean them often... More

Way too over priced. Average rooms you would find at any 2 star hotel. They over price the rooms then charge a resort fee on top that. Lazy river was packed. Not enough room to walk around. Also, no nearby restaurants or shopping that isn't part of the hotel. The restaurants are insanely overpriced too. Only one I would recommend... More

Overall a beautiful experience - but not without drawbacks. The hotel itself and its surrounding area offers breathtaking scenery with ample options for hiking. Add to this splendor, beautiful pool and lazy river on which wait staff will deliver drinks to you right on your tube - how could I not find a piece of paradise in this Marriott location.... More

What a beautiful place! Incredible! The wait to check in was unusually long (almost 3 hours) but my man wanted to WOW me - and he succeeded! Unfortunately, we spent much of our visit in the ER (an eye issue) and did not take advantage of the many lovely things to see and do. Breakfast on the patio was exquisite... More
