My wife and I spent 6 days around the Memorial Day weekend on a "no kids" get away. This was our second stay at the El Con and this was better than the first. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The grounds are terrific. We stayed in a Casita adjacent to the Acacia Pool and I cannot recommend this... More

If you go to Tucson you must stay here! We stayed in one of the bungalows, very private and peaceful. Accommodations included a living room with a fireplace, a dining room with a bar plus a bedroom with a king bed and a bath and plenty of closet space. Private pool steps from our door or if you want to... More

We spent Memorial Day weekend at this Hilton. We stayed 3 nights in a casita. We arrived 4 hours after check-in and the room was not ready. The frustrating part was that we were told they could give us a room now but it would be a downgrade only. They were 'fully booked'. While waiting for our room, the man... More

I stayed here for three nights in one of their casita suites. The suite was spacious yet the master bath should have been larger. Additionaly, the room was a bit dated and in need of a modern facelift. I played two rounds of golf while visiting and dined three times in their restaurant, Sundance, of which one meal was less... Stayed here mid-April due to location and its proximity to family activities. The hotel lobby, pool, and landscaping were beautiful. Hotel has a gorgeous location at the foot of the Catalinas, where you can look up and feel a part of the mountains themselves. The rooms and hallways, however, are in need of an upgrade. We stayed in building 3,... More

The location of this hotel is really nice, it backs against the bluffs and is a ways outside of Tucson. There are a lot of pools, which is especially popular with kids. There is a slide, which is pretty fun for kids and adults. The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. Mine had a balcony that faced the... More

The grounds and views from the property are wonderful, but the rooms I experienced were very tired. Our first was a pool and mountain view that had badly worn and stained carpet, squished bug on the wall and even stains on the lampshade! After complaining we were upgraded to a mini suite that was spacious but still very worn. Fixtures... More

The hotels grounds and public areas are in a very pleasant state. The hotel rooms, are an entirely different story. The lobby is impressive, as is the expansive pool area - a true delight! The rooms are a but frumpy to say the least. Older style lighting, furnishings, and bathrooms that needs a bit of T.L.C. payed to them. One... More

We recently stayed at the El Conquistador so I could attend at conference that was held at the hotel. This property was a model for customer service. The staff from the front desk, valet, restaurant and housekeeping all were models of how a hotel should function. I am sorry that I do not remember names, but I can not think... More

This feels like a hotel lost in time. The decor is very 80s, a cross between the High Chaparral and an 80s Marbella beach resort but what makes it feel most out of place area the acres of green lawn in the middle of the desert. It badly needs updating and modernising. The rooms are dark, the bathrooms pokey and... More
