You want to be on the plaza in a hotel that feels cozy, comfortable, and Santa Fe. Forget cookie cutter places. They have the true feeling at La Fonda. The lobby is great. The location is perfect. The rooms have flavor. I would recommend this hotel for the person who wants to feel they are in Santa Fe, and maybe... More

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 daughters. Perfect hotel for families. Old world charm. We walked to everything in town from the hotel. The lobby is like an indoor plaza with a restaurant, bar, and lots of action. The concierges there are the best in town.

We recently stayed at La Fonda and the location is excellent. Right in the middle of town and close to everything. The staff are attentive and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed if not a little dated but hey.....this is an old area and a lot of history so don't expect 5 star. The only thing that disappointed us... More

We recently stayed at La Fonda on the Plaza. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and shopping within a 3-block area. Indians also display their wares daily in the Plaza Center and we made several unique purchases. Nearby, 2-blocks, Canyon Road has well over 100 art studios and the town is second only to New York City in... More

Last fall my husband and I went to the southwest for the first time. We travelled 2500 miles(we drove and hiked and explored the four corners staying in many places along the way) but made Santa Fe our stay for 3 days and enjoy time. We had a beautiful suite on the concierge level that was over the top! Rebecca... More

We just spent four nights at La Fonda and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel is in an excellent location and is full of southwestern ambiance and charm. We went with my mother and had two Deluxe King rooms for a very good price. But, you must be aware that some rooms have been updated/remodeled and some have not.... More

This is a very historic (think Santa Fe trail) old hotel located right on the plaza in Santa fe... you can walk to everything. Altho' old, it has been updated & the rooms are large & comfortable. It has a good restraurant & a roof top bar for watching the sunset. We got a king at $129 + 12$ for... More

My daughter and I recently stayed a night at the La Fonda and enjoyed quite a lovely experience. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. More importantly, the service we received was superb. I must commend the hotel for hiring such caring and helpful staff. Everyone was very kind and willing to go the extra mile - especially our bellman,... More

This is a great 1920's era hotel. The staff were especially helpful, friendly and well qualified. The common areas were in excellent condition and the room was nice and well furnished, respecting the original construction of he hotel. I would definately stay there again and recommend it to others. The minor negatives: The carpets in the room corridors could have... More

I am currently staying at La Fonda. The room is one of the worst I have ever experienced. I used to stay here on business in the 90's and had fond memories. I am sorry to say that La Fonda has aged badly. Our room is TINY, very tired and nasty. The bathroom floor has not been cleaned in weeks.... More
