America's Cup Inn has a great location and we found the staff to be nice and very helpful. Even though we were on the first floor, the noise of the street wasn't a problem. But like most older hotels, the walls were a little thin and we did hear some noise on occasion from our neighbors. The worst was the... More

I took my fiance here...his first time to Newport. America's Cup Inn was FANTASTIC! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had our choice of two rooms and the one we picked was perfect for us---it had a tiny balcony--no view but we did not care. Bed comfty, bath clean. Frige in the room. I read previous reviews of... Was in town for business last week and stayed here because the price was right and it is centrally located. I read a few of the reviews and agree with some of the negative reports but I am familiar with Newport and have been curious about what the place was like inside so I decided to give it a try.... When we booked we were never told about the ridiculous cancellation policy- you have to to pay the first night if you don't give them 7 days notice!! No one told us that, so when we cancelled after reading all of the lousy reviews we were hit with this enormous cancellation fee. Are you kidding me??! $350 dollars, really? Unprofessional,... More

My son and I stayed in one of the 1 BR apartments for 4 days on a last-minute trip in August. We were grateful to have found a room at last-minute's notice. The staff was exceptional, helpful and gracious. Parking was not easy, or expensive in the lot across the street ($18/day with discount from hotel). We always found a... More

We booked the hotel through Kayak.com Stayed there two nights. The staff was very friendly and nice. The room was clean and had everything we needed. No nice view, just a parking lot, but very centrally located.

We went to Newport, RI for a 4 day weekend. I found America's Cup Inn on Trip Advisor with good reviews so I booked a king size room. It was tough to find at first since it was our first time in the area but we quickly realized what a perfect location it was, right in the center of town... More

We got two rooms for our family - 2 adults and 5 kids. The place was VERY cramped. They convinced me not to take another room, saying the sofa beds would work fine for our needs. The mattresses were TERRIBLE on these! The bathroom in my room had a very new, large bathtub in it, which was nice, but the... More

My friends and I stayed here in May in a 2 bedroom condo. The kitchen is pretty ill equipped to cook anything. There is no kitchen table to eat on. There is a pull out couch with 2 chairs. Each bedroom does have it's own bathroom. Mary street can be pretty noisy especially on the weekends. There is a parking... More

This is a terrible place! I hope I can remember all the issues (and we only stayed 2 nights-imagine if we stayed longer!). We stayed in rooms 101 & 102, which are next door to the main lobby. The rooms are old, they are dirty and dingy, they smell of musty, dank air. The kitchenettes are outdated and I didn't... More
