Loved the Clarkeston and its location to the shops and restaurants. Easy drive to the mansions. Room was bigger than expected and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous with efficient and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Clarkston while in town for the Newport Folk Festival and enjoyed every minute. We are a very laid back couple and are not high maintenance in any way. We happened upon the Inn by searching on-line for a quaint place to stay in Newport. The street is very historic as are all the inns.
