We stayed at The Modern on our last weekend in Waikiki and loved it! Definately one of the most current hotels in the area catering to an urban customer! The service was excellent and we manged to get a great upgrade at a reasonable price last minute! This is a great place for couples including same sex!

the hotel is all it promises to be...great rooms, good views, amazing restaurants. Its modern in every way. The staff is friendly and helpful, concierge is good but not as great as the other hotels. The best part are the 2 pools...especially the salt water pool with a great poolside bar.
