White Sands is a 3 story walk up built in the 50's style.We have stayed there many times. It is now owned by Aqua and they are doing lots of needed upkeep. The staff is very good including the housekeepers, front desk, maintainence and Paul (the manager). AND--yes we are going back in 2013.

Staff was very nice and friendly. Hotel is in a good location, the pool area is very nice, and the rooms are kept clean. The only problem is a lack of parking spots, but otherwise I had a great stay and will definitely return.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while my ship was in Pearl Harbor. Yes, it is old but for the price, it can't be beat. My room had 2 beds, a kitchenette, and a dining table. We had a great time there recently. The room was big, clean, and opened onto the best little green courtyard in the middle of the otherwise concrete jungle that is Waikiki. If you have an easy-going personality and aren't expecting the Hilton, it'll work fine. It's been a while since the decor has been updated, but we really didn't care.... More
