We stayed here for 5 nights in May. The rooms are spacious and modern with a very comfy bed. The staff are are very friendly and happy to help with anything. The free daily breakfast is a great added bonus. The pool is a bit small but with an amazing beach 1 block away it doesn't really matter. I would... More

We chose this hotel because of the website feature of being able to select the number of beds you need. Our teenaged daughter has great difficulty sleeping on pull-out beds. As we checked in, we learned our room had been "upgraded" from mountain to ocean view for free, but we found that the upgrade came with a cost: tiny, tiny... More

I grew up in the islands, and were visiting family. We stayed for one Friday night using our Hyatt points during mother's day weekend, and got there around 9pm. We love, love this hotel. Room: large, flat screen TV, everything new, one king-sized bed, great bathroom, toiletry amenities, free bottled water, coffee. Private area for computer\desk work. We were on... More

This is an old hotel building that was completely renovated in 2011 to become the new HYATT PLACE in Waikiki. It is a great value for a "new" hotel only 1 block from the beach! Contact me at www.nealmillertravel.com for specifics on the different room sizes, prices and views. I prefer the 14th floor with an ocean view. A full... More

I was in Honolulu on business and the Hyatt Place was available at a reasonable rate. It is about 3 blocks from Waikiki beach and is a convenient walk to restaurants and shops. The room was well appointed and was quite comfortable, but there isn't a full service restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was included in my room rate, but... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in a large room with mountain views. Everything about the room was of good quality. We had a small balcony and a large sofa as well as two queen beds, which were incredibly comfy. The breakfast options were varied and it was nice to be able to sit outside although it was quite windy. The... More

Dear travelicious01, Mahalo for your review. Sounds like you had a nice guest room during the initial part of your stay with us, but apologize if the construction noise caused any major inconvenience. We regret to learn of the inconveniences you encountered with scheduling transportation, but glad that the driver was able to come back and pick you up right... More

Why pay $400+ for LESS options at another hotel? This hotel is totally remodeled, has an OUTSTANDING breakfast and free wifi for a fraction of the cost of "nicer" hotels closer to the beach. The extra 5 minute walk off the beach will not bother you one bit and you will save hundreds during a multiple day trip.

We've been here for almost a week, leaving tomorrow. I did a last-minute switch from the Hyatt Regency to this newly remodeled Hyatt Place because of price/Hyatt Gold Passport Points, free internet, free breakfast & cheaper parking. Glad I did! We really have enjoyed the hotel & staff. Stayed in a "City View/Deluxe" room #1739. The view isn't great (opposite... More

I stayed here over the weekend 21-23 April. Arrived on a morning flight and went to the hotel hoping to be able to drop my bags. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that as my room was clean and I could go up (this was around 11am, maybe earlier). After an overnight flight it was great to be... More

Dear Fiona B, Mahalo for sharing your kind review. We are happy to hear that you were able to check-in to your guest room early and freshen up. Also, we are glad you were able to enjoy the beach even though the beach expansion project was taking place during your stay. Please do not worry about asking our staff any... More

Of the many hotels I have stayed in Waikiki the Hyatt Place appears to be an extremely good deal. The included breakfast is a little limited in choices but still good and enjoyable by the pool on the third floor deck. The room was clean and full of light. Nice size TV, comfortable desk and corner reading chair. Very small... More
