BEST ROOM - OCEAN VIEW 8th Floor! The Pacific Beach Hotel has preserved a real sense of hospitality, amidst a string of hotel chains that cater to or “rent” the fantasy of opulence but in the end, it’s the same beach, the same view and the same destination. The Pacific Beach Hotel is a welcoming oasis for travelers who feel... More

I have stayed at Pacific Beach Hotel with my wife and 3 years old child during our vacation trip in Hawaii due to a problem with our Alaska Airlines flight (they allocated us there as we would need to take the flight only in the next day from our initially scheduled departure). The apartments were fair (not big, but not... More

We stayed at the Pacific Beach Hotel for 3 nights - April 19 - 22/12. We were first put in a room directly behind the elevator which we heard all night long. The room overlooked the parking lot. They then moved us to the other end of the hotel on a higher floor, again behind the elevator. Luckily we could... More

My husband surprised me with a trip to Honolulu a couple weeks ago and I loved the location. Unfortunately the rooms are in desperate need of renovations, as are most on the beach, and the woman at the Activities desk was AWFUL but I couldn't have asked for a better location, slightly away from the crowds but easy to get... You could hear everything thru the walls and doors. The acoustics in this hotel is terrible. We had the worst sleep in a long time staying here as we were in the room sharing a wall with the elevators and could hear them operate all night. We switched rooms only to be put beside a family with loud children crying.... More

This is my first time writting a review. i usually dont waste my time with such trivial things but out of a genuine spirit of wanting to save people from wasting their money on the pacific beach hotel I decided to write this review. The hallways smell like pee (I'm being serious about that too so don't take that as... More

Enjoyed the great accross the street location. Bought a package with free parking otherwise it is $20/day. Our 5th floor beach tower room was in dire need of an update. The sir conditioner made a wet spot on the floor and the shower head was loose and would fall off and hit us in the head. My tough little 10... More

We stayed at the Pacific Beach Hotel for 5 nights before going to "The Big Island". The location of this hotel is absolutely awesome!!! Right opposite Waikiki Beach and the bus that takes you to Ala Moana Shopping Centre. It is a great location for night shopping and right at the beginning of all the dining places for dinner etc.... After a 8 night stay on the Big Island, our nonstop flight from Kona to Oakland had mechanical trouble and we had to stop in Honolulu to fix the plane. The airline put all us passengers up for the night at the Pacific Beach Hotel. I have been to Waikiki many times but always stayed on the beach as opposed... More

It's not the Ritz, but if you want an affordable holiday in Waikiki, then the Pacific Beach Hotel is ok. It's hard to justify the prices that the hotels charge in Waikiki - your Sheration's, Marriott's etc are stark rooms with a ridiculous price tag, so we chose the 3 1/2 star Pacific Beach Hotel - right across the road...
