As soon as you open the door to our room, the terrable dingy smell and the food/drink stains all over the carpet floor made me sick to my stomach. I had to use my own lysol disinfectant srapy and use almost the entire can and the smell just would not go away. We had the end unit which had two... More

The Frontier Cabin we booked was cheery and clean and we had no problems at all like those reported by others in the hotel (e.g. with overheating, noise, or fluctuating shower temperatures). It was a bit plain in lieu of cozy, but I liked the big window that let in lots of light, and I'm certainly not looking for luxury... More

I have booked a room for 2 night with this hotel. From what I read, it should have been a 3 stars experience but only the exterior of the building rises to expectations. The lobby looks fine - gives you the feeling of the time machine bringing you back in the glamorous old days of the '30s. Unfortunately, the long,... More

The hotel is very well located to explore the park, the cabin was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was yummy. The heater did not work properly though, or if yes then the noise it makes is really unreasonable. There were buffaloes and elk on the hotel grounds, so close! It makes you live the park. We also enjoyed the old-style glamour... More

My wife and I stayed here during our trip to Yellowstone National Park. You stay here for the history, not the luxury. The rooms remind you of an old dorm room. The hallways are dark and wide. The hotel is conveniently located near the visitor center. One neat feature about this location is that bison and elk roam freely around... More

First of all- I want to start off by saying the other 2 hotels we stayed at during our trip BLEW this hotel out of the water in terms of service, accommodations, food and cleanliness. The only good thing Mammoth Hotel had going for it is its location. It was definitely nice to not have to drive a while to... More

My wife and I recently visited Yellowstone National Park. Part of our stay in the park was at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Cabins. We selected a cabin. It was recently updated. beautiful, cozy and near the hotel. Without the interference of television, my wife and I had some much needed down time from the outside world. The staff was... More

It was like stepping into a time travel tunnel, the rooms need updating. The rugs in the hallways needed updating as did the ones in the room. The bath was spacious but with a clawed foot bath tub with the shower in the tub. There was a severe lack of electrical outlets with the only free ones in the bath.... More

Reviews on this site are sometimes confusing because there are often multiple types of lodging accommodations lumped under one heading and they can be very different experiences, resulting in the wide variety of opinions you see on here. The best advice I can give to anyone planning to stay overnight inside Yellowstone National Park is to manage your expectations. There... More

The hotel looks smart, modern and luxurious from the photos. Sadly, we found everything beyond the reception desk fell a long way short of the photos. Our room was well overdue for refurbishment and felt more like a dormitory than a hotel room with basic, old, worn out furniture and a bathroom suite that could have come from an old... More

Thank you for offering feedback on your stay at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel & Cabins. Feedback like yours is critical as it assists us with maintaining high standards of operations across all of our in-park facilities. I was very discouraged to read about your experience at the hotel and cabins. We work diligently to provide guests with stellar accommodations each... More
