Stayed 3 nights at Dunraven lodge in Yellowstone National Park. Had stayed before so knew what to expect & as before requested Dunraen over Cascade Lodge. Room was upstairs (316) featured 2 beds, The bedding was clean but mediocre quality, and as a previous reviewer noted - with flat instead of fitted bottom sheets, and foam pillows (i prefer feather).... Rang on the morning of what turned out to be the last day that the lodge would be open, from the gates into Yellowstone and got a huge discount on the last room available. (We seemed to specialise in getting the last room available) We were "winging it" Did not know what to expect, but was pleasently surprised. It had... More

I totally agree with the previous reviewer regarding beds. Cannot believe that in 2011 two double beds are thought sufficient. The bedding was not modern either, with flat instead of fitted bottom sheets, horrid foam pillows instead of soft either feather or man made fibre. There was a total lack of storage space as well, with no drawers at all,... More

After reading all the great reviews on this property I was looking forward to staying there. Unfortunately, I could not understand what all those raves were about. The room looks nice on the first sight with modern wooden furniture. But it was not clean at all. I have never had so many hairs on the bathroom floor before in my... More

This lodge was very nice, clean and modern. it was a great contrast to the cabins there which seems dilapidated. Dunraven was new and had a great lounge area which you could sit and read a book or just kick up your feet. definitely recommend staying here versus the cabins. House keeping was not great but still worth it

The hotel was descent, so I really don't understand the other rave reviews. What we found most disagreeable was the size of the beds. We are by no means overweight people. My wife is 5'2" and weighs 116, I'm 5'10" and weigh 175. However, we are used to queen size beds, which I think you find in 99 percent of... More

It is part of Canyon Lodge and has to book through Canyon Lodge. It has 4 levels of about 8 rooms each. I was told only this but not the other building has the elevator. If you need it, please mention the elevator when booking. The location is in the middle of the park, so it is around 1.5 hours... More

We spent one night at the Dunraven Lodge during our recent Yellowstone trip. Actually, we made a reservation at the Canyon Lodge, we didn't know we were staying at the Dunraven Lodge until we arrived there: for this reason I'm surprised that Dunraven and Cascade Lodges are separated here on TripAd: they are just two buildings (which look identical from... Our stay at Dunraven Lodge was a lovely experience. The room was spotless. They had a K-cup coffee maker in the room. The bathroom is a bit small and the overhead florescent lighting is a bit harsh. Beds were comfy with extra blankets for warmth if needed. There's a nice congregation room on the second floor with a nice view.... More
