This was our second trip to Yosemite, but the first time staying inside the park. We spent some time at Housekeeping Camp (terrible), and the remaining time at White Wolf. The first impression of White Wolf Lodge is the quiet setting; you leave Highway 120 and drive a short distance to White Wolf. The tents are well arranged, with places... More

We spent two nights at White Wolf (with my husband and another couple). I love this place! White Wolf "Lodge" is a summer-only enclave of canvas tents located a mile or two off of Tioga Pass (Highway 120) in the high country of Yosemite. The cement-floor tents are equipped with four beds (or one double and two singles), with sheets,... More

We were camping in Yosemite and decided to stay at White Wolf for a treat to end our camping adventure. We were surprised to find vacancy as everything else in Yosemite was booked solid. We rented a tent "cabin", which had a double bed and two singles for our boys. The boys thought is was fun to be like pioneers... More

3 stars. 5 stars for the location of the Lodge, and 1 star for nearly-boiling unbearably hot water in "showers" (that are impossible to use) that can possibly damage person's skin and cause skin irritation and burns. They made the water hot and non-adjustable so that people will not take more than few seconds using precious water in showers. This... More

I wrote another review for White Wolf Lodge a few years ago so please refer to it for more information. This is an update. This year we couldn't get consecutive days in White Wolf Lodge so we had to haul our gear back and forth between White Wolf and Curry Camp which is in Yosemite Valley. I've discovered that you... Great location for those who want to hike in Northern Yosemite and get away from the hustle and bustle of Yosemite Valley. These cabins are very rustic but have charm, heat and private bathrooms. Prices are reasonable and food served family style is nothing fancy but adequate and filling. After long days of hiking, I especially enjoyed sitting on the... More

Just a short drive from Tenaya Lake and Tuolumne Meadows, the tent cabins at White Wolf lodge are a comfortable and serene base for exploring the high country of Yosemite National Park. Meals at the lodge, although a bit pricey, were quite good. Dinners, served family style at long tables, were great fun with opportunities to socialize with travelers from... More

If you plan on staying at White Wolf Lodge in Yosemite, Ca., be prepared top bring additional supplies. Half of the wood provided for the wood burning stove was too big and didn't fit. We froze at night until I walked around at 2am in the dark in 28 degrees to find wood around camp that would fit in the... More

If you are like me, and you can't handle the noise and chaos of Yosemite Valley in the summer, but you love Yosemite, White Wolf may be a good place for you. The lodge is somewhat secluded--there are about 25 (?) tent cabins all facing in a circle, with a few actual cabins. Across the road is the campground, which... More

After reading reviews, I was worried about the accommodations we would find at white Wolf. We were pleasantly surprised! Yes, canvas tent cabins are rustic, but they were clean and had better bedding than expected which included wool blankets and comforters. Community shower rooms were clean. We appreciated that this was like deluxe camping, but we did not have to... More
