Could not find a better hotel in Hambantota or Yala. Recommend staying on the 3rd floor. The Sea around Hambantota is rough. Food was okay - edible. Customer service was friendly. No activities in Hambantota yet, unless you intend to travel to Yala.

A pleasant hotel with all the amenities that you would expect plus staff who really made an effort to be friendly and helpful. (Except the person who steals from your luggage. We knew who it was but couldn't prove it.)
It's well situated for visiting the Bundala Lagoons National Park but it's a long way from Yala, whatever they claim....

A reasonable hotel well placed for visiting Bundala National Park which has some of the best birdwatching opportunities we have ever experienced. Not as handy for Yala which is a long drive. The area is under development with a new airport being built and for sure, there will be more competition soon.
The hotel was reasonable and within walking distance...

If you want to stay in a characterless, high rise block, with appalling food (chicken nuggets and frankfurters anyone?), staff dressed in Hawaiian shirts singing off key, and an infinity pool surrounded by a picket fence....errr, that seems to ruin the effect doesn't it?....then this is the place for you. Conveniently situated umpteen miles away from Yala National Park entrance...

My family and I stayed here for two nights. The main purpose of this trip was to visit Yala National Park and Peacock Beach hotel is one of the few star class hotels within the area at the moment.
It is important to note that this hotel is about 40 minutes’ drive from the National Park – in a city...

I've had my share of unusual hotels, this is one of them. There are no elevators in this property, it is very spread out and operating at well below 50% capacity, nothing but the bar is open, the food is buffet style and very limited, here's the thing, it'll either burn you or give you diabetes, there seems to be...

We stayed at this hotel for only one night. Entrance to hotel looks beautiful with large gardens. Staff at reception were very friendly. Room was large. Unfortunately the linen was not clean. We tried to get to the beach but there was no access to the beach and you could not swim at the beach. The hotel area on the...

Beautifully renovated after the tsunami. I have visited many times to the peacock beach hotel before and after the tsunami. Its atmosphere is super. Its rooms before the renovation had an antique look and feel which was amazing for a romantic evening in the balcony. The newly renovated Deluxe on the east wing is more modern with an elegant touch...

Went there few months back on HSBC card holder stays free offer. The offer was for FB basis on a Deluxe room. Once we checked in they gave us rooms but they were not up to the standard of a deluxe room. And before going there we checked the hotels details online so we were aware of how their rooms...
