This is a tranquil haven an hour from Dublin for anyone who needs a quiet rest, delicious food and friendly efficient service. The interior decor is amazing, the bedroom is spacious and overlooking the vast gardens. Bed extremely comfortable. There was a wedding on that weekend but there is a separate anexe catering for the occasion. The scent of Jo... More

I recently attended a wedding in Castle Durrow - it's a beautiful place with gorgeous gardens and very friendly and helpful staff. A few points that stood out: - Check in is at 3 but I was at Castle Durrow for 11 because the wedding was at 1.30 and I wanted to get ready before going to the church. I... More

Visited for one night B&B and dinner last weekend. The house has beautiful interiors and our master bedroom was very large and comfortable overlooking the gardens. It is easy to see how this has become one of the country's leading wedding venues. We were glad, however, that there was no wedding on the evening of our visit as there could... More

I attended a private lunch hosted by Castle Durrow & found the staff and good amazing. A lot of the produce was home grown & the menu was beautiful. The house & grounds are breath taking and there is a very relaxed feel about the place. Well worth a visit. X

We had our wedding in Castle Durrow on 18 April. It was amazing, the staff can not do enough for you. Marie was a pleasure to deal with. All my e mails were answered on the same day. The banquet room was beautiful. I did my own candy table which my mam and Marie helped put together and looked fab... More

dear ChrisLCB, Thank you so much for your review, Marie was delighted to read it !! I have to say that the table really added to the banqueting room and was hard to resist. Lily is a real gem as well and hates me saying she is nearly part of the furniture ! I hope you guys will come back... More

Stayed two nights for a wedding in September 2012. We were on a budget so booked the lower priced 'stable' rooms. Our room was still beautiful, large, lovely big bed, hot powerful shower, large free standing mirror and dresser. The setting for a wedding is beautiful. Luckily the weather was great and we got to avail of the terrace for... More

Dear Erroltho, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review, I really appreciate it. I am very happy to read that you thought your room was beautiful as I decorated all the rooms myself. We don't have Airconditioning in the hotel , the house is 300 years old and we could not put in a modern... More

We stayed here for just one night for a wedding. We had a very comfortable room with lots of space. I think it may have been a suite. The room was beautifully decorated, with a 4 post bed. The bed itself was a little on the soft side for my liking. There is poor air conditioning in the room. Although... More

Attended a wedding here recently, and was delighted to have the opportunity to stay at Castle Durrow. The hotel is stunning, and staff for the most part were attentive, friendly and welcoming throughout. The wedding banquet was excellent. If a large function can be catered for at such a high standard, it bodes well for diners in the main restaurant!... More

Dear Rachieblue, That is such a romantic review ! We love having the weddings here, we have 5 daughters and 3 sons and I hope (insist) that they will all get married here at home, exactly with the same format as our guests do . I know we might sound a bit expensive , but everything I could think of... More
