“Very nice but several downsides”

I booked three nights here and got a great deal. All inclusive for €157 a night. I now know why. It was (very) low season, raining every day, and the place was virtually empty. “EXCELLENT HOTEL”

Nice place to take rest with all the family. The food is wonderful, service is correct and the room are correct. Calm, the road to acceed the hotel is without comment: when you arrive there you can't imagine that you will a Hilton in the place

When attending a conference, what could be more desirable then a stunning view, excellent service, good food and fun when you step out of the air conditioned meeting room? All this and more awaits the business traveler at Double tree Zanzibar.

“Gorgeous inexpensive retreat”

Had a fantastic stay here April 5 - 7. I thought the rooms were beautiful and sparkling clean, especially compared to what I encountered on the rest of my African vacation. Service was slow but it is how they do things and after a while you get into the flow of it. The only downside for me was the location.... More

“Nice hotel, but the service disappointed”

The hotel was beautiful situated at the beach in the north of Zanzibar. Big rooms with big beds, but our room smelled damp. The breakfast was great! We were disappointed about the service, especially in the reception desk.

The staff are very smiley but ineffective. Steven the manager has his work cut out here. Took us some time to get all the problems resolved. Upgraded rooms worse than originally booked and cheaper!!! “Not a great start?.”

Arrived to find that the pool is being renovated on two of the 4 days we are staying. This was one of the main reasons we decided on the hotel. The receptionist didn't appear to care. The room is fine, but the kettle didn't work and after repair leeks boiling water. More to add and I have only been here... More

Also in the name of your booking portal I have to apologize that you haven't been informed properly about our renovation of the pool. It is one of the best hotels to stay in Zanzibar. Location is excellent and the Rooms have beautiful view of the Indian Ocean. Pool bar is best to start with. The Rooms are very clean and beds are most comforting. A must stay hotel.
