A hidden gem, nicely isolated from bigger towns. Beautiful palm-tree coastline, very nice rustic accomodation and a cosy bar with a very good restaurant offering locally-caught seafood. Idyllic. It's a nice bus trip from Stonetown, too.

Friendly and helpful staff, great swahili style food. The beach is NOT a swimming beach as the tide goes out miles and the lagoon has many spiny urchins so as long as you are aware then you will not be disappointed. Not the place to go for anything else but relaxation and perhaps some scuba if the season is right.

Spent two days there 2 weeks ago. I stayed in a ground level bungalow. It was clean and spacious, beds were uncomfortable but it is Zanzibar. It is very small resort, only few bungalows. Some of them has two levels (with roof room). Everything is solid and clean. Becouse of distance from StoneTown you must order you dishes day before, but food is very good. Place is very silent (only sea waves) and romantic. Definitly not for beach crazy people.
